ST PAUL’S GIRLS THINK BIG AND ACT

GLOBALLY!

Over the last number of years, we have led many awareness raising and fundraising campaigns in St Paul’s, we have also tried to deepen our understanding of the root causes of injustice, poverty, war and climate change. Our links and work with WorldWise Global Schools enables us to do so. This year WorldWise Global Schools led training for all staff on ways in which Global Citizenship Education can be embedded across all subject areas.

We also introduced a Transition Year module on GCE this year, where TY students participated in a workshop in Irish Aid; studied concepts of justice, development, power, and related them to their own lives; and critically explored how these concepts are presented to them on a day-to-day basis. Our Third Year students also undertook an introduction workshop with Global Action Plan before they embark on their GCE module next year.
