Presiding Bishop at St. Paul’s

On November 6, 2016 the Most Reverend Michael Curry, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, participated in the 10:00 am Holy Eucharist service at St. Paul’s Church preaching, distributing Communion wafers, and dismissing the congregation with help from parish children. During his sermon he noted that Jesus was considered ‘crazy’ and ‘mad’ by his family, according to the Bible, and that the world needs crazy Christians. The successful morning with Dr. Curry would not have been possible without hours of preparation and involvement by the vocal and instrumental musicians, acolytes, members of the Altar Guild, Liz Cook and her team who prepared the treats for the reception, Bob Potter and his team for preparing the facilities for this special day, the outdoor assistants who helped with parking and crossing East Avenue, and Clergy Assistant Judy Loveland.
