Welcome to St Paul’s. If this is your first visit to St Paul’s, or if you have recently joined us, we’d just like to say how great it is to have you with us. We are a church full of people who are trying to live lives that reflect Jesus and we would be so pleased if you’d consider joining in with us. Please don’t go today without touching base. You can do that by filling in one of the welcome cards, or simply visiting the Welcome Desk in the Foyer. All the information about our church family life is on our website stpaulsealing.com. We look forward to getting to know you. With our blessing, Mark and Lindsay Melluish

STREET PARTY On Sunday 12 June the nation has been encouraged to hold street parties to celebrate our Queen's 90th birthday. As a church we have written letters to all our direct neighbours and everyone is in favour of having a street party outside the church on that Sunday afternoon. I have invited the neighbours to a planning meeting but wanted to make sure that you were invited first. I'm sure we will have a BBQ and there will be bouncy castles and fun games. So why not plan to stay with us for that Sunday afternoon and enjoy great company and celebrate our Queen together.

LIFE GROUP Life Groups are the heartbeat of St Paul’s. A place where: friendships are formed; food is eaten; an invitation to encounter Him through His word & Spirit and have fun all at the same time! Our new group recently formed (now 6 of us) and are looking to grow to around 12 people – so still some places., We will be meeting every first Tuesday (plus a meal) and every second/third Tuesday (plus coffee/Tea) in W13 area. We would love to invite and welcome you to join with us. Tel: Phil 07494 448923 or Sue 07709 460649 if interested!

CAP MONEY COURSE CAP Money Course is a money management course that teaches people budgeting skills and a simple, cash-based system that works. Whether your income is £5,000 or £50,000, you still need to budget and one of the principles of the course is to spend well and enjoyably. The course is relaxed, easy going and supportive. Our next course at St Paul’s is on Monday 13 and 20 June in the Foyer at the back of church from 6:30–9pm. Speak to Iain Carruthers or email him on iaincarruthers@gmail.com for more information.

SUNDAY SERVICES | 8AM 9:15AM 11AM 6:30PM

DEAR FRIENDS, I am aware that as we come into the summer holidays we have a fairly packed diary as a church. This is something that I try hard to avoid but so much is happening in such a short space of time and each event or occasion will be very special so I hope you will understand. Here are the highlights… Sunday 12th June - Queen's 90th Birthday Street Party. All invited to have fun, hang out the bunting and enjoy a party with all the neighbours. Sunday 19th June - Father's Day Celebration with Classic Car Show and BBQ. Why not invite your friends to what will be a great fun morning both inside and outside church. Sunday 3rd July - Celebration for Mark and Laura Tate as they move to plant a new church community and a Welcome to Ben and Lydia Strain as they begin their ministry amongst us. Sunday 10th July. Two Guest speakers. Big Questions - in the morning at the 9:15 & 11:00 we have Katharine Welby Roberts joining us. Katherine (daughter of our Archbishop) speaks on the issue of the church and Mental Health. Her own story of mental health is very special so do invite friends and neighbours. They will be both informed and given hope. Then at 6:30pm we have Justin Rees Larcombe speaking. Justin had it all. A successful career in the army followed by a great city career in insurance; but he started to believe the book makers and it all went wrong. Come and be inspired by a man who has truly experienced the Grace of God. Sunday 17th July we celebrate Richard and Julie Thomas as they prepare to leave Ealing and lead St Philips Tunbridge Wells. So we have have a full 5 weeks as a church community but each will be very special for different reasons. Yours with every blessing Mark Melluish

CHURCH LIFE Ministry Training Ministry in the Power of the Spirit is a core part of what we do as a church, primarily seen through the offer of prayer ministry at all our services and gatherings. If you would like to be equipped to minister in St Paul's, come along to our two linked training evenings, ‘How to minister in the Power of the Spirit’ on Monday 23 May and Monday 6 June, 8pm in the Church Foyer. Everyone is welcome to attend and every participant will receive a training booklet. The training is also for those who are part of the Prayer on the Streets team or who would like to be. For more information please contact Chris Fox or Lindsay Melluish.

Prophetic words or pictures for the church Following the week of prayer that we have just enjoyed together as a church we have become aware that several people have prophetic words or pictures for us as a church community and are not sure what to do with these. If you feel you receive a prophetic picture or word please would you write it down and email it to Mark Melluish so that we can have a file of them and be able to reflect and pray through them. Thanks so much for your support with this.

Father's Day We are arranging a Classic Car show again and have prepared some invitation cards for anyone you know who has a special car or even a car parked on a street nearby that you would be able to pop an invitation under the windscreen wiper for us. Please do pick up an invitation today if you feel about to help with this. I'm also looking for a team to help with a BBQ for after the 11am service. If you'd be prepared to help please would you let me know. Thanks so much. Mark Melluish

MISSION FOCUS On Tuesday 10th May, we were a team of Discipleship Year interns and others from St Paul’s who headed out to Kenya to visit Hennie and Becca Marais. They live and work with the Maasai community through the Red Tribe charity (www.redtribe.org). For 10 days, we were stretched, challenged, fulfilled and we experienced a completely different life and culture to the one we’re so used to. Whilst we were there we helped in the building of a medical clinic in a remote Maasai community. We spent time with the women who create fabulous beadwork jewellery that is sold around the world, and visited the Maasai Academy, the school which they run. We took two assemblies, helped with lessons, and played games with the children. One thing we were all struck by was how happy and content they were with the little they had – and they never complained. All the people we visited showed incredible hospitality and love towards us. It was awesome watching how much God was at work and how He moved through all social, cultural and language barriers we were faced with. This was a real experience as we worshipped and prayed alongside the Maasai people in one of the local churches. We couldn’t speak their language but God’s presence was so tangible in that meeting place that we were all impacted. The trip was life changing and has really transformed our perspectives. We will all carry our experience of this incredible journey close as we venture on to our next endeavour! Thanks for all your prayers and support. Chris, Hadley, Paul, Josh, Emily, Nick & Lottie

YOUTH Girls Night In A shout out to all the girls in St Paul’s Youth! On Saturday 4 June, 6:30-8:30pm in the Balcony Room, we have Jessie Faerber founder Belle Ministry, a ministry that aims to equip, encourage and empower young girls to discover their God-given value, beauty and purpose, running an interactive workshop for all girls in Years 7 13. An evening not to be missed! To sign up, contact Jonny Hedges our Youth Pastor.

Soul Survivor Summer 2016 Letters are now available from the welcome desk for all young people in Years 10 - 13 who are interested in joining us at the Soul Survivor Festival this summer. We will be going to Week B (Saturday 13 August Wednesday 17 August) For more information, please contact our Youth Pastor, Jonny Hedges.

KIDS Celebrating Commitment During the Easter Sunday morning services we had a great time celebrating our risen Lord as a full church family with the children, young people and adults all together. During that service, Mark invited any children who would like to, to be really bold in expressing their faith and ‘yes’ to Jesus and to stick their hand up in the air as a sign of that commitment.

We love to celebrate that decision being made and so Abi Hedges is currently handing out a small gift to all those children who let her know they raised their hand. If you know a child who did raise their hand please make sure they collect their gift and if you haven’t already let Abi know, it’s not too late too! Contact Abi Hedges.

Collecting Toilet Roll Tubes If you wouldn’t mind saving the cardboard inner tube of your toilet rolls, Abi Hedges is trying to collect 3,000 of them and would love it if you could pass them onto her. You can bring them to the Church office or to Church on a Sunday morning. Thanks in advance.
