15 MAY 2016

Welcome to St Paul’s. If this is your first visit to St Paul’s, or if you have recently joined us, we’d just like to say how great it is to have you with us. We are a church full of people who are trying to live lives that reflect Jesus and we would be so pleased if you’d consider joining in with us. Please don’t go today without touching base. You can do that by filling in one of the welcome cards, or simply visiting the Welcome Desk in the Foyer. All the information on our church family life is on our website stpaulsealing.com. We look forward to getting to know you. With our blessing, Mark and Lindsay Melluish

If you would like to be equipped to minister in St Pau's, come along to our two linked training evenings, ‘How to minister in the Power of the Spirit’ on Monday 23 May and Monday 6 June, 8pm in the Church Foyer. SUNDAY SERVICES | 8AM 9:15AM 11AM 6:30PM

D E A R F R I E N D S, Thank you so much to those of you who have already responded to last weekend's talk on generosity. I can't tell you how encouraging that was to me to hear that some of the giving forms were returned last Sunday and some throughout the week. If you were unable to be here last week can I encourage you to listen to the talk on our website. It's on the front page for easy access to connect to. If you were here and took a giving pack please do take the opportunity to respond today if possible. If you left your pack at home then another one is available from the back of church. One of the 'big' asks I made was to try and encourage as many as possible to join the planned giving scheme. It is by far the easiest way to give and helps us to plan what we are able to do as a community. If you are already on the scheme then please do consider reviewing your giving. Thank you in advance for doing this and partnering with us as we seek to see God's kingdom come in so many lives both locally and internationally yours with every blessing, Mark Melluish

CHURCH LIFE Join our Welcome Team at St Paul’s Welcome is one of the most important Sunday ministries. Most people decide whether to return to a church within 5 minutes of walking through the front doors, usually before they've heard the worship band or listened to a sermon. It is 'welcome' that makes the difference. If you'd like to join the team that gets to 'welcome' new people to church each Sunday come along on Monday 16th May 8-9:30pm in the Foyer to hear the vision and to find out how to get involved. Please contact Mark Tate or Richard Thomas if you would like to come

Hungry I'd love to invite you to an evening of seeking God's Presence together. On Tuesday 17th May meeting from 8-9:30pm in the Foyer. We will have opportunity to enjoy open worship, scripture, prophecy, and we hope to encourage and be encouraged in our walk with Jesus. I look forward to welcoming you.

TLG (The Education Charity) As a church we have launched a new initiative in partnership with TLG (Transforming Lives for Good) Transforming Lives for Good). It’s our desire to make a difference in our community and particularly to be a presence in our schools. By partnering with TLG’s Early Intervention Scheme, our hope is that we can commit to send coaches from St Paul’s who will volunteer 1 hour with 1 child, each week for a year into our local schools. You don’t need to be qualified to be a coach, we will be running training for those interested in the coming months. For more information contact Jonny Hedges our Youth Pastor.

Prayer on the streets Prayer on the Streets (POTS) is a ministry that meets every fortnight on a Saturday morning to offer prayer to anyone who would like it in the middle of the marketplace of Ealing Broadway.

We are based in the grounds of Christ the Saviour Church. POTS has been running for more than two years and we have seen some amazing stories of God at work in the lives of those we’ve prayed for, including people finding faith in Jesus Christ, healing, peace and blessing. We’ve had a number of people come back to find us and others come along to church on a Sunday. If you’d like to join the team then contact Chris Fox for more information. To join the team, we strongly advise you to come along to the ministry training evenings on Monday 23rd May and Monday 6th June.

Kenya Last Tuesday, Chris Fox took a team of seven people (including our four discipleship year interns) out to Kenya to visit Hennie & Becca Marais in Maasailand for ten days and to work with the Red Tribe team there. Whilst they are out in Kenya they are constructing a clinic building in a remote village that will enable more people to access healthcare including vaccinations in their local community rather than having to travel long distances. They will be taking assemblies and lessons in the Maasai Academy, speaking in local churches and meeting the women who work in the beadwork project. Please pray for the team, for good health, for safe travel and for God’s blessing on all the work and ministry out there. For more information please visit www.redtribe.org.

Saturday Football This ministry that shares the love of Jesus through football to the Ealing community is in need of volunteers (at your own flexibility). For over 10 years we have reached out to all different types of people from within the community and have shared the good news of Jesus with them. Come and be part of God's plan to change the community we live in. (No experience required.) For more details on joining us at Saturday Football or a willingness to pray for us, please email Damien at savesjesus@hotmail.co.uk. God bless

Volunteers If you volunteer in any of the St Paul's ministries you will shortly be receiving an invitation to our annual Volunteers Celebration on the evening of Friday 17th June. Please put this in your diary. It will be a night not to be missed.

New Wine Every year several hundred people from St Paul’s join thousands from across the UK at New Wine Summer Conference in Shepton Mallet. This year is no exception and we would love to see you there. An opportunity to spend encountering God, through worship, bible teaching, seminars and so much more! New Wine takes place between Saturday 23rd July to Friday 29th July and you can still book online as a delegate or if you would like a free place, you can book a place on team too! For more information visit new-wine.org or contact Jonny Hedges our Youth Pastor.

KIDS Breakout | One Off Help Needed Breakout is our weekly kids club that meets every Tuesday from 6-7.15pm. We open our doors to 40-60 kids from the church and wider community and have a great time bouncing on bouncy castles, playing football, chatting, eating tuck and playing games! On Tuesday 17th May we’re looking for extra help as our Intern team are in Kenya! If you think you might be able to come along and help, or would like any more information, please contact Abi Hedges.

Collecting Toilet Roll Tubes If you wouldn’t mind saving the cardboard inner tube of your toilet rolls, Abi Hedges is trying to collect 3,000 of them and would love it if you could pass them onto her. You can bring them to the Church office or to Church on a Sunday morning. Thanks in advance.
