Welcome to St Paul’s. If this is your first visit to St Paul’s, or if you have recently joined us, we’d just like to say how great it is to have you with us. We are a church full of people who are trying to live lives that reflect Jesus and we would be so pleased if you’d consider joining in with us. Please don’t go today without touching base. You can do that by filling in one of the welcome cards, or simply visiting the Welcome Desk in the Foyer. All the information about our church family life is on our website stpaulsealing.com. We look forward to getting to know you. With our blessing, Mark and Lindsay Melluish

FATHER‘S DAY Thank you for joining us on Father’s Day and what a great way to celebrate. Stay for a burger and a soft drink while enjoying the cars outside. Chat to friends and make new ones. Everyone is welcome and there is no cost. Food and drink are free!

BEN AND LYDIA STRAIN We’re really looking forward to welcoming Ben and Lydia as they begin their ministry here at St Paul’s. Ben is getting ordained on Saturday 2 July in St Paul’s Cathedral at 3pm. There are a very small number of tickets available for this but do please pray for Ben and Lydia as they prepare to join us here.

GUEST SPEAKERS - SUNDAY10 JULY At our morning services - How should we engage with Mental Health? We have Katharine Welby Roberts coming to speak on one of our Big Question themes. Katharine has herself struggled with the issue of mental health and will bring great wisdom and thought to us. This is an issue that touches every family and I hope you might take this opportunity to invite friends and family along.

Evening Service Justyn Rees Larcombe had it all. A Sword of Honour awarded by the Queen when he left Sandhurst, a glittering career in the city and a much loved family but he also had a parallel life. He gambled. Come and hear his story. There is so much to learn about the gambling industry and what it can do to family life. Justyn's book ‘Tails I Lose’ is an amazing read and we hope to have some copies available on the night.

SUNDAY SERVICES | 8AM 9:15AM 11AM 6:30PM

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY Saturday 2 July - Ben Strain’s ordination at St Paul’s Cathedral Sunday 3 July - Celebration for Mark and Laura Tate as they move to plant a new church community and a Welcome to Ben and Lydia Strain as they begin their ministry amongst us. Sunday 10 July - Two Guest speakers. Big Questions - in the morning at the 9:15 & 11am we have Katharine Welby Roberts joining us. Katharine (daughter of our Archbishop) speaks on the issue of the church and Mental Health. Her own story of mental health is very special so do invite friends and neighbours. They will be both informed and given hope. Then at 6:30pm we have Justyn Rees Larcombe speaking. Justyn had it all. A successful career in the army followed by a great city career in insurance; but he started to believe the book makers and it all went wrong. Come and be inspired by a man who has truly experienced the Grace of God. Sunday 17 July we celebrate Richard and Julie Thomas as they prepare to leave Ealing and lead St Philips Tunbridge Wells.

PICK A FIGHT This month’s fight is: Gurnell Grove Over this summer St Paul’s is planting a small team into the Gurnell Grove estate. The aim of the team is to establish a thriving missional community on the Gurnell Grove estate where hundreds of local people gather in homes and buildings because they’ve fallen in love with Jesus. Please pray: ● that the team would find suitable housing on the estate ● that the local council would see the value of the missional community and seek to work with them ● that the right team would continue to form ● that God would release the resources that the team need ● that God would prepare the peacemakers on the estate who will welcome and work with the team ● for protection for the team from the schemes of the enemy

CHURCH LIFE Commissioning of Mark and Laura Tate and the Gurnell Grove Team The church plant that Mark, Laura and team are leading on Gurnell Grove is starting. It only feels like the other day that we as a church family were talking about the dream of this new church plant and it is happening already. We will be interviewing and praying for the team at each of our services on 3 July and then having a BBQ together to celebrate Mark & Laura and their ministry here after the evening service. Do come and celebrate with us.

Welcome Meal If you’re new to St Paul’s and have not yet been to a welcome meal, we’d love to invite you to the next one which takes place on Wednesday 13 July at 7:30pm in the Foyer. Welcome Meal’s are a chance to hear a bit about St Paul’s vision and values, get to meet new people and also enjoy a delicious meal and a glass of wine. Please email Polly Neill at the church office if you’re interested in coming along.

Prophetic words or pictures for the church Following the week of prayer that we recently enjoyed together as a church we have become aware that several people have prophetic words or pictures for us as a

church community and are not sure what to do with these. If you feel you receive a prophetic picture or word please would you write it down and email it to Mark Melluish so that we can have a file of them and be able to reflect and pray through them. Thanks for your support with this.

Hungry Every month on the third Tuesday evening we have Hungry. Our next Hungry evening is Tuesday 21 June 89:30pm in the Foyer. Hungry is an evening where we intentionally seek more of God’s presence. We don’t have an agenda and we intentionally make space to allow the Spirit to lead us during the evening. Everyone is welcome. For more information please contact Chris Fox or Lindsay Melluish

Summer Create Start that holiday feeling by getting creative with us! On Thursday 7 July 9:45-11am, the church will be transformed into a creative space.
