Enter a mysterious indoor forest where every tree has a story to tell.
Experience traditional tales from around the world and trace the ancient roots of story, passed down from one generation to the next. Light up each tree and listen to its story. Enjoy live storytelling in the clearing, spot the animals hiding amongst the trees and see if you can pull the sword from the stone.

Enjoy a 25-minute film experience aboard our Story Craft which will transport you through the stories associated with Oxford including Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, C.S. Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia, J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials.

Welcome to a patchwork land of picture books, nursery rhymes and traditional tales for the very young.
Enjoy a 1-hour storytelling and play session in our beautiful Small Worlds space featuring favourite story characters from Elmer the Patchwork Elephant to Biscuit Bear. Discover a different story theme and activities each month.
