Dear Stonyhurst Families

The sun is shining in the Ribble Valley today and we are excited to have a whole host of fixtures being played today including netball, rugby, football and table tennis.

I would like to draw your attention to the new family room by the glass doors. If you are travelling up and are in the area, please do feel free to wait there, catch up on emails and have a cup of tea or coffee. Stonyhurst Shines at Ribble Valley Interschools Swimming Gala

On Wednesday, 22nd January, I had the privilege of taking 13 talented swimmers to represent Stonyhurst at the Ribble Valley Interschools Swimming Gala, held at Accrington Academy.

With 10 schools from across the Ribble Valley competing, the stage was set for an exciting and competitive event. Our swimmers rose to the occasion, showing incredible skill, determination, and team spirit.

I’m proud to share that our team brought home an impressive 10 medals a testament to their hard work and dedication. What stood out even more was the way they supported and encouraged each other throughout the day, exemplifying true camaraderie and the Stonyhurst spirit.

Congratulations to all our swimmers for their fantastic achievements and for doing Stonyhurst proud. Quant Je Puis!

Huge Congratulations to our U13 Netballers

Earlier this week, our U13 netball team faced Ackworth School in the Sisters n Sport Bowl quarter-finals and came out on top!

This incredible achievement means that they will join our U19 netballers in the semi-finals!

Well done, girls - what a day for Stonyhurst netball!

Rudiments Parents’ Weekend

After the wonderful Rudiments' Recital on Friday evening, the Top Ref was turned into the venue for the Rudiments' Subject Consultations on Saturday. Just under 50 families enjoyed in-person presentations in the More Library from the academic team & detailed feedback from nearly 30 subject teachers. It was a pleasure to see so many parents over the two days. There were those residing locally, elsewhere in the UK, and overseas.

We are looking forward to the upcoming Parents’ Weekends for Syntax (28th February and 1st March) and Poetry (21st and 22nd March).
