We are proud of our ability to create seamless transitions for pupils entering Stonyhurst at any stage of their educational journey. We currently have entry points into all years, although some have a waiting list. All pupils who join Stonyhurst College go through a very individual interview process. Our admissions team and senior leaders ensure that the educational pathway for each pupil is appropriate and aligns with their prior learning. This may involve matching up examination boards, adding additional one to one support in specific subjects, evening clinics or a fast-track GCSE programme, for example.

is quite rural. How could I make this work for our family?
The school is based in a rural village in the Forest of Bowland called Hurst Green, in a 1000-acre enclosed campus. Although Stonyhurst enjoys a countryside location, it is within close proximity to three international airports, Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool, as well as Preston railway
station which runs services to London Euston, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

No. Stonyhurst is very welcoming and diverse community for children of all faiths or none. Although the majority of children are Catholic, we have a rich diversity of other faiths and cultures represented in the school. The Jesuit virtues will resonate with anyone who values the centrality of human excellence in education.
