ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

RESPONSIBILITIES

Noah is an architectural designer with extensive construction, development, and management experience. In addition to several years of architectural practice, he has worked as a project manager for an innovative housing development company in Los Angeles, and as a site superintendent for a general contractor building hillside homes. He has also worked for the award-winning UCLA based think-tank cityLAB, and with multiple LA based architects. With City Design Studio he is currently overseeing the production of design development and construction documentation for the Los Angeles Clippers Arena focusing on the retail/gateway pavilions and parking structures.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Los Angeles Clippers Arena Retail Gateway Pavilions, Inglewood, CA

This project includes the main entrance, retail gateway and entrance plaza for the new arena for the Los Angeles Clippers and the adjacent parking structures. On event days, the majority of Clippers fans will pass through the development to and from the arena. Responsibilities: Project management, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documentation (Currently in CD)

Clippers Sales Center, Los Angeles, CA

Interior remodel of a 5,000 SF space as a sales center for the new Clippers Arena Suites. Includes highly curated state of the art technology and integrated visual and tactile display that emulates the event plaza and the basketball arena.

Grand Panorama Mixed-Use Development, Los Angeles, CA

The Grand Panorama navigates a geometrically and topographically complex site challenged by the subterranean transit infrastructure of a Metro Station adjacent to Disney Concert Hall. The structure includesa mat foundation and friction caissons that straddle the metro tunnels. Responsibilities: Schematic Design

Fortis17 / DesignLab Development, Los Angeles, California - These developments employed new and innovative construction techniques to transform the way custom, single family homes are designed and built in Los Angeles. Comprised of architect designed homes, built of modular components out of state and finished on site. Responsibilities: Project Management, all phases of design, permitting, and construction of the pilot project homes. Extensive coordination with architects, engineers, City of Los Angeles, fabricators, trucking , craning, and setting companies, site subcontractors and individual builders to implement architectural vision.

Entrance Archway, El Paso East Side Regional Park, El Paso, TX

In collaboration with a California based artist, the effort included the construction of a 50 foot steel entrance archway to El Paso’s Eastside Regional Park. Responsibilities: Production of all shop drawings, construction drawings and fabrication cut sheets, coordination with engineers and fabricators. Translation of artists vision from small paper model to a buildable reality. Ongoing collaboration with the artist on other steel construction projects.

Northern California Housing, San Geronimo Valley, CA

Numerous residential construction on projects in the Bay Area in apprenticeship with Design-Build company on several homes through all phases of construction. These include new construction, multiple extensive remodels and projects that required substantial adaptations from existing conditions. Responsibilities: design, construction documentation, shop drawings and construction.
