It has been more than half a century since the first groundbreaking ceremony took place on the Dientner Sattel. Much has changed from the beginnings of the legend with the small bed and breakfast available for the winter season of 1964 with seven rooms for 14 guests up to today’s four-star superior Übergossene Alm Resort. With constant expansions, modernisations, realisation of dreams, living of visions and the constant development over the years. The two most important points have remained the same throughout - the impressive landscape on the Hochkönig as well as the genuine hospitality of the Burgschwaiger family.

Coming from Dienten approxima tely 300 m after the Mittereggalm Dientner Sattel, a beautifully situated and maintained path in winter opens on the right to take you to the Zapferlalm. You will enter an idyllic wooded area and can spot carved animals. If the weather requires, you can borrow snowshoes for free from the reception.

Winter on the Alm means variety and offers fabulous opportunities for winter and snowshoe hiking, crosscountry skiing, as well as tobogganing. When nature wraps itself in its glittering white dress, when a horse-drawn carriage ride brings romance, and a winter walk simply amazes you, you have arrived in your very own winter fairy tale. After all that time outdoors, even the bright dairymaids felt like taking a break. What a pleasure it is to relax in the Hochkönig Spa after all that exercise out in nature!

The dinner menu, in particular, was just fabulous. I had a room with a balcony and a wonderful panoramic view of the Hochkönig. The entire wellness area with the indoor pool and saunas was perfectly designed and there were snowshoe hikes and a varied winter schedule.

A real feelgood hotel, as the family management gives ever yone the feeling of being welcome guests. The staff are very friendly, helpful and respond to all requests. There is very good food that is a delight to eat. The rooms are in a very high-quality condition and are very spacious. The wellness area leaves nothing to be desired. There is no need for any long ski bus rides or hikes with the ski boots to the lift. You can ski-in and ski-out right next to the location. It has a real hospitable and warm atmosphere. Highly recommended!

At 1,250 meters, far away from the valley floor and a little closer to heaven, everything just tastes better, as the dairy farmers already knew in the legend of the Übergossene Alm. It was they who once made the delicacies and fine wines in the beautiful region of Salzburger Land. We continue to emulate those dairy farmers today. We appreciate original quality, trust in the farmers and small producers of the region, as organic quality, sustainability, freshness and top quality are important to us.

Peel the ginger, cut into fine slices and grate the lemon. Heat the milk and bring to the boil. Add honey, ginger and turmeric and continue to simmer. Inside and outside, it’s just amazing! Almi the mascot loves living in the Übergossene Alm Resort, as it’s all about having fun and cool adventures here. The 1,250 m² indoor children's pasture offers plenty of possibilities to really let off steam and develop. The 250 m² chill area is also mega cool! The greatest thing for kids is whizzing down the slopes with the fun teachers of the children's ski school right by the hotel. In addition, an enthusiastic childcare offering awaits and a varied children's programme full of experiences for the youngest guests. It will even make parents want to be a child again!

Take fabric and scissors, and cut two equally sized pieces of fabric in the form of your choice. In order for the heat cushi on to fit in your jacket, it should be about 8 x 8 cm in size. Put both parts near each other and sew them together with the help of your parents. Leave a small section open. Now turn the cushion inside out, and as a result, the protruding fabric edge disappears. Now carefully fill the linseeds in. Form a small paper funnel with a sheet of paper for this. Do not fill the pillow to the point that it bulges. Now, with the help of your parents, you can also close the opening. Now you can draw a face on your cushion with cloth crayons. It’s all done!
