In 1881, God gave a small group of miners a mission to bring to these mountains the world’s greatest treasure: the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, the Eucharist, and the Faith and Charity that flow from Him.
Today, that mission has spread from the streets of Old Town Park City, to the meadows of White Pine Canyon, to the Heber Valley and beyond. St. Mary’s seeks to evangelize, catechize, give back in Charity, and enrich the community through the Catholic Faith and its intellectual, artistic, and cultural traditions. To bring all the treasure of Jesus Christ, for the salvation of souls, and the Greater Glory of God!

As we joyfully welcome Father Dass to our parish, we stand at a sacred crossroads of faith and action, a holy invitation to deepen our commitment to love and charity. Charity is not just an occasional act; it is the heartbeat of our parish, the living expression of Christ’s love alive in each of us.
In this moment of new beginnings, let us be bold in our resolve to let our parish overflow with joy, compassion, and service. Father Dass comes to us with a heart for mission, to serve the most vulnerable among us. Our calling is not just to welcome him, but to walk with him, side by side, as we continue to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community.
Every act of kindness, every moment of care—no matter how small— builds a parish where love becomes tangible and hope takes root. Let us draw inspiration from the witness of Michelle Duppong, someone courageous young woman whose joyful faith amid cancer is inspiring many to consider her a modern-day saint. Michelle’s life reminds us that real charity is courageous: it is choosing to love with boldness, even in the face of pain and uncertainty. Like Michelle, may we love fiercely, give generously, and lift up those who need us most.
As Father Dass begins this new chapter, may St. Mary’s shine as a beacon of hope—a place where charity overflows and love leads the way.
Please help us continue bringing light to those walking through the darkest valleys.
100% of every donation goes directly to a family in need. No hidden fees. No overhead. Just love in action. That’s our promise.
- St. Mary’s Director of Charity Maria Villar
