In 1881, God gave a small group of miners a mission to bring to these mountains the world’s greatest treasure: the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, the Eucharist, and the Faith and Charity that flow from Him.
Today, that mission has spread from the streets of Old Town Park City, to the meadows of White Pine Canyon, to the Heber Valley and beyond. St. Mary’s seeks to evangelize, catechize, give back in Charity, and enrich the community through the Catholic Faith and its intellectual, artistic, and cultural traditions. To bring all the treasure of Jesus Christ, for the salvation of souls, and the Greater Glory of God!

3 NIGHT RETREAT: MARCH 18 - 20, 6:30 PM | SOCIAL HALL
The history of our faith is one of spiritual conflict. From the advent of the Christian era luminary intellects of heroic virtue have been opposed by those influenced, oppressed or possessed by the Kingdom of Darkness. While history may not repeat, it very often rhymes, and the testimony of our earliest saints resonates powerfully with issues faced by the contemporary Church.
Set against Athanasius the hammer of heretics was the Emperor Constantius II, also called the Antichrist. The beautiful and damaged Eudoxia, Empress of Constantinople, destroyed the golden-
tongued John Chrysostom, while the gentle genius Origen of Alexandria was persecuted by the Emperor Decius in the first systematic attempt at the elimination of the Christian faith.
As we being our Lenten journey, don’t miss these three evenings at St Mary’s where we will draw on the lives, testimonies, and extant writings of these great saints and examine the timeless wisdom they offer us today.
Come join us for a special evening put on by St. Mary’s, the Utah Chapter of the American Harp Society, and Writ & Vision. Come hear a special performance of The Street, a unique musical meditation on the Stations of the Cross. There will also be an opportunity to purchase religious art conveying Easter themes by Ester Christiansen.
The Street is a set of meditations on the fourteen stations of the cross scored for solo harp. Each movement can, in some performances, be paired with plainchant, chosen
to augment and in some cases provide counterpoint to the traditional narrative of Good Friday.
The spark for each movement is original texts by Alice Goodman — either read aloud or read in silence — which are simultaneously specific, evocative, mysterious, and poetic.
The Utah Chapter of the American Harp Association, the largest chapter in the country and is pleased to return to St. Mary’s. We hope you can make it!

Dear sweet Jesus, I kneel before you and give you thanks for the great treasure of the Most Blessed Sacrament. May it nourish me with a lively faith and with true repentance. May your cross be my strength, your resurrection be my life, and your grace be my sure confidence. With the Father and the Holy Spirit, your love is the full satisfaction of my desire, my refreshment, and my own love. May you be glorified in all things everywhere and may your peace be the joy of all people. Amen.
