In 1881, God gave a small group of miners a mission to bring to these mountains the world’s greatest treasure: the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, the Eucharist, and the Faith and Charity that flow from Him.
Today, that mission has spread from the streets of Old Town Park City, to the meadows of White Pine Canyon, to the Heber Valley and beyond. St. Mary’s seeks to evangelize, catechize, give back in Charity, and enrich the community through the Catholic Faith and its intellectual, artistic, and cultural traditions. To bring all the treasure of Jesus Christ, for the salvation of souls, and the Greater Glory of God!

If you are looking to make a major gift this Christmas season, please consider the following three opportunities. For more info, email jhibbard@stmarysparkcity.com.
In the next few years, $3-4 million worth of facilities renovations will be needed for St. Mary’s campus. The large amount of this will be needed by this coming summer 2025 to replace the church roof, with the parish center roof then to follow.
Your generous end-of-year gift towards the $1 million need to replace St. Mary’s Church roof will ensure this beautiful church, this sanctuary of Park City, can continue to welcome all to worship, to gather, and to receive the Body of Christ!
The DDD is the way that you can support the greater Catholic Church in Utah! Your gifts help form the future priests of Utah, like newly ordained Fr. Anthony Shumway, Deacon Kenneth Parsad, and seminarian Michael Weight.
Your support helps feed struggling families and children through Catholic Community Services of Utah.
And your generosity provides for the less fortunate Catholic communities helping to grow the Church in Utah!
Your generous end-of-year gift can help raise another $50,000 to help fund the diocesan ministries, programs, and services vital to the Catholic faith Utah!
St. Mary’s is a sanctuary of Charity! Community partners like Park City Community Foundation, Peace House, Holy Cross Ministries, and more look to St. Mary’s for help with providing those in need with housing assistance. And your gifts to the charity fund provide homes, food, clothing, diapers, and more to hundreds of local families in need each year, many of whom are single mothers and young children.
Today, the demand for assistance is greater than ever, but through your support and the incredible work of our new Director of Charity Maria Villar, St. Mary’s is bringing the love of Christ to more families in need than ever before. Your generous gift to the charity fund will help raise an additional $300,000 this coming year to help those most in need.
Being a single mother in Park City presents unique challenges, especially with the rising cost of living. Pilar, a hardworking mother of five, faced an overwhelming situation trying to balance work, childcare, and providing for her family, all without a car. Her strength and resilience to keep going for her children are truly inspiring.
The St. Mary’s family was honored to support Pilar during this challenging time. Through your support of St. Mary’s emergency financial assistance program, Pilar and her family avoided eviction and received resources to regain stability and hope for the future.
THURSDAY, JANUARY 23, AT 6:30 PM | SOCIAL HALL
As we approach this year’s Jubilee themed “Pilgrims of Hope,” this summit presented by Luke Stager will focus on how to make the most of the idea of pilgrimage.
Come to learn the history and spirituality of pilgrimage, examples of ancient and modern pilgrimages, and especially how to do pilgrimages in your own local community, including walking/hiking pilgrimages, either as an individual or as a community, as well as a
handful of prayers that can be used to enhance one’s experience. One need not trek through Europe to reap the graces of a pilgrimage!
Luke Stager teaches at the Madeleine Choir School where he also sings as part of the adult choir at the Cathedral. Stager has taught math, science, theology, and has multiple years of experience in campus ministry.
Please RSVP at StMarysParkCity.com/Summit.

Take home provided chalk and holy water from the church. Chalk and water will be available starting Monday from January 6 - 13.
Leader: Peace be to this house. Everyone: And to all who dwell in it.
Leader, sprinkling holy water: From the East came the Magi to Bethlehem to adore the Lord; and opening their treasures, they offered costly gifts: gold to the great King, incense to the true God, and myrrh in symbol of His burial.
Everyone: Our Father...
Leader: The three Wise Men, Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar followed the star of God’s newborn Son. May Christ bless our home and remain with us throughout the new year. Amen.
Everyone: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
Leader: Visit, O blessed Lord, this home with the gladness of your presence. Bless all who live or visit here with the gift of your love; and grant that we may manifest your love to each other and to all whose lives we touch. May we grow in grace, and in the knowledge and love of you; guide, comfort, and strengthen us in peace, O Jesus Christ, now and forever. Amen.
Then the leader writes with the blessed chalk near the front door:
20 + C + M + B + 25
The chalk was blessed at church with this prayer: “Bless, O Lord God, this creature chalk to render it helpful to humankind. Grant that they who use it in faith and with it inscribe upon the entrance of their homes the names of your saints Caspar, Melchior, and Baltasar may through their merits and intercession enjoy health of body and protection of soul. Through Christ our Lord.” The initials C M B also stand for “May Christ Bless this Home” (“Christus mansionem benedicat”).
Take a picture of where you wrote 20 + C +M + B + 25 with the chalk and we’ll post it on our social media! Send to Anthony Mazur at amazur@stmarysparkcity.com.
