2023 Academic Results: HSC Congratulations to the Class of 2023 for outstanding results in the HSC. St Luke’s ranked 38th in the State with many exceptional individual achievements. Higher School Certificate The following information summarises the success of the 2023 HSC cohort:

2023 HSC Statistics (Year 12) 120 Year 12 students sat for the HSC in 2023 Additionally, 38 Year 11 students undertook one or more HSC subjects this year:

2023 HSC Statistics (Year 11) 18 Year 11 students completed HSC Studies of Religion 14 Year 11 students completed HSC Mathematics 5 Year 11 students completed HSC Drama 11 Year 11 students completed HSC Business Studies Of the 158 St Luke’s students who undertook one or more HSC Examinations:

2023 HSC Outcomes 90 students (57%) achieved one or more of the 199 Band 6 [E4]s results 199 (28.8%) of all St Luke’s students’ results (691 examination entries) were Band 6 [E4] 122 students (77%) achieved one or more of the 306 Band 5 [E3] results 505 (73%) of all St Luke’s students’ results were Band 5 or Band 6 St Luke’s average in all subjects except 3 were above the State average. For these 3 subjects below the State mean, the SLGS candidature was only 4 students for two of the subjects and 6 students for the other subject. With such a small candidature, the statistics are not meaningful.

Band 6 Results Above the State Mean

Based on the number of students who achieved a mark of 90 or more in their courses, compared to the number of examination papers attempted, St Luke’s ranked 38th in the State overall in 2023.

The number of Band 6 results gained across a broad spectrum of subjects is well above the State percentage of students gaining Band 6’s.
