HSC RANKING NSW

RANKING
Based on the number of students who achieved a mark of 90 or more in their courses, compared to the number of examination papers attempted, St Luke’s ranked 45th in the State overall in 2024.

45TH IN STATE
1ST ON THE NORTHERN BEACHES INDEPENDENT 2ND ON THE NORTHERN BEACHES SCHOOL
(AFTER MANLY SELECTIVE)
EARLY ENTRY TO UNIVERSITY
A significant number of students applied and received early offers to study at a broad selection of universities. These numbers include offers received directly from the University and those received via the Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS).
BAND 6 RESULTS ABOVE THE
STATE MEAN
The number of Band 6 results gained across a broad spectrum of subjects is well above the State percentage of students gaining Band 6’s with St Luke’s students achieving Band 6 results at almost or more than double that achieved by the State in a number of subjects.
Note: These numbers have been supplied by the universities upon request. This is not a comprehensive list of early entry offers received, as most Universities do not disclose this information to schools. The data also includes the number of students who received more than one offer.
SUBJECT IN WHICH 100% OF RESULTS
WERE BAND 6 & 5
In a number of subjects, 100% St Luke’s students undertaking the course achieved Band 5 or 6 results.
AVERAGE MARK IN COURSE
The St Luke’s average HSC Examination marks in all subjects except 4 were above the average mark for the State. For those subjects below the State mean, the St Luke’s candidature was only 7 students or less. With such small candidature, the statistics are not meaningful. In particular, the average marks for each of the following subjects were well above the State average.
