CLOCK FIELD CONSTRUCTION GETS UNDERWAY As if we didn’t already know, the bleeping, shaking, rattling and rolling of construction work is a sure sign that long-awaited new housing development is now bulldozing its way into Clock Field. The picture, taken from The Ark, shows that heavy-duty groundwork is well underway. Along with 47 new homes, the development will bring very welcome ‘Section 106’ funds to go towards the Village Enhancement Scheme and new leisure equipment at the Recreation Ground Meanwhile, October ushers in plenty of other autumn activity including the Parish Council’s ‘Litter Picking Hour’ clean-up initiative, the popular Ardingly October Charity Fair down at South of England Showground, Hilltop WI’s special Ukulele Evening and many more regular community events. Plus, with the autumn term now in full swing, this month’s centre-pages interview features homegrown Deputy Head of Turners Hill CofE Primary School, Charlotte Palin.
THANKS FOR DONATIONS The Parish News Team extends thanks for donations recently received. As an entirely non-profit organisation, committed to delivering the publication free to every household in Turners Hill, we depend on voluntary donations where possible and are extremely grateful for them.
