THE RULES

All games will be played in accordance with England Netball rules. All teams and umpires must register by 8am, with a umpires briefing at 8:50am. Matches will begin at 9:00am.

SQUAD MEMBERS

As per England Netball rules, each squad may have a maximum of 12 players.

Players may only play for one team throughout the tournament.

Any team fielding a borrowed player will be disqualified. We will operate rolling substitutions for the day and would ask coaches to ensure that these substitutions are made away from the ball.

Interfering with play - a player may not enter the court until the player has exited.

OFFICIALS/UMPIRES/COACHING TEAMS

The team bench must be at their defending end at the start of the game, and to the right of the post, making sure there is enough space for the umpire.

Each team is allowed a maximum of two/three members of staff on their team bench.

All other members must be situated outside of the playing area.

Each team is expected to provide a scorer for the day, who must stand with the opposition scorer during the game. Scorecards will be collected at the end of the game and taken to the information table.

Entering teams are expected to provide their own neutral umpires at C grade or above (unless notified beforehand), these umpires will not be umpiring their own team’s games and will be expected to be separate from their team throughout the day.

SPECTATORS

All spectators must remain on the outside of the playing area at all times.

SCORING SYSTEM

Points will be awarded as follows:

5 points for a win

3 points for a draw

1 point to the losing team if they score 50% or more of the opponent's score

0 points to the losing team if they score less than 50% of the opponent’s score

In the event of a tie on points at the end of a section, goal difference will decide the final placings, in the event that this is also tied it will go to goals scored.

At the end of the group stages the groups will split into a Cup and play offs section.

In the event of a draw during the final stages there will be extra time of two minutes each way followed by golden goal in the event of a further draw. 2 7 10 13 16 3 8 11 14 1 6 9 12 15 5 4
