Sport

Throughout the academic year 2023-24 the School continued to break records for participation and sporting success.

The academic year 2023-24 once again saw us offer our pupils meaningful variety through the games programme.

With dance, yoga, climbing, cross-country, badminton, shooting and many more on offer, pupils have a fantastic opportunity to choose from outside of our major sporting options.

This academic year also saw the continual development of our golf programme. With fixtures and competitions held both regionally and nationally, our golfers have had an impressive start on the golf circuit, and went on to receive county, regional and national accolades.

Annual Inspection

On Thursday 9 May 2024, St John’s School CCF was delighted to welcome the Chaplain General, The Reverend Michael Parker KHC and his Military Assistant, The Reverend Ben Archibald CF to the School for our annual CCF Inspection Day. As a school with a long history of providing education for children of the clergy and with Chapel and faith still a core aspect of our school community, it was fitting that the Chaplain General acted as the Inspecting Officer this year.

“ An impressive school, CCF Contingent and Contingent Lead.”

Quotes from the Chaplain-General of HM Land Forces, The Reverend Canon Michael Parker KHC CF 204

.............................................................................

“ Cadets show their keenness and willingness to be part of an organisation that oozes professionalism, opportunity and insight.”

.............................................................................

“ The Navy Section boasts a thriving group of senior female cadets which have shown real tenacity.” .............................................................................

“ Cadets are turned out well, proud of the uniform they wear and the cap badge they represented.”
