SOUP LUNCH OUR NEXT Soup Lunch is on Friday, 15th November from 12.00 noon to 1.00 pm. Please come along and enjoy some home made soups followed by cake, coffee or tea.

CREATIVE REFLECTION DAY – “lights in the darkness – pathways to Advent”. Saturday 9th November from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm in our Church and Hall. Drinks will be provided but please bring a packed lunch. Please contact fiona_e_brown@btinternet.com for more information.

ANNUAL SKITTLES MATCH TO RAISE FUNDS FOR CHRISTIAN AID will be held at the Barley Mow, Rockwell Green on Saturday, 30th November, 7.30 for 8 pm start. Buffet provided at a small cost as in previous years.

ARE YOU CONCERNED FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR PLANET? The Diocese is sponsoring an Eco-Church day conference this coming Saturday, 9th November from 9.30 am to 3.00 pm in Christ Church, Weston-super-Mare. There will be a number of speakers and workshops.

SAVE THE DATE- Our annual Christmas lunch will be held at The Beambridge on Sunday 8th December at 12.30 pm. Further details and menu choices will be coming soon. All are welcome.

If you wish to receive Communion where you are seated or if you would like to receive a gluten-free wafer please let one of the servers know before the Service.

FOODBANK Urgently needed, Tinned (cold) meat, Long Life fruit juice and Sugar Other items required are –Soup, rice, pasta sauce, tinned vegetables, coffee, biscuits and snacks. If it is possible for you to leave your gifts in St John’s on any Sunday or Thursday morning that would be helpful as far as re-distribution is concerned.

WOMEN’S REFUGE. The Refuge continues to need household items in good condition and also toys for the children – role play toys such as those for a toy kitchen and also cars and lorries and dressing up clothes.

With Christmas coming, also needed – wrapping paper, cellophane, gift tags, toys, books, games and anything for ladies to make up for all the things they have had to leave behind. Please leave items in marked box at back of Church.
