here to support Members

Being available for members to contact for support, and delivering sound advice and information; professionally, confidentially and timely, is ARCA’s commitment to the Association’s members. Whether a member needs practical advice on a specific asbestos removal method, clarity on a clause within a regulation or a bespoke asbestos training course, the ARCA team is just a call away.

As well as being available on the phone to answer questions and provide advice, the team can assist with more in-depth services.

Additional Site Audits Members can and do request additional site audits to run alongside the required three unannounced site audits under the ARCA Membership Site Audit Accreditation Scheme. These audits follow the same criteria as the ARCA membership audits, so provide a consistent form of measurement. Members can request ARCA to organise additional audits either; by arrangement, so the member informs ARCA of the date and site, or unannounced, whereby there is no prior notice of an audit.

Member Internal Site Audit App ARCA Full Contracting Members can sign-up for the ‘Member Internal Site Audit App’, so that their internal site audits use the same question set as the ARCA audit and are automatically scored. This enables direct comparison of ARCA audits and internal audit results, so providing a strong management tool. There is also a Contract Manager Site Observation Audit form, which enables managers to quickly and easily record their findings when visiting sites, and can record observations and actions for non-licensed work. The App is a web and remote devicebased application enabling auditors to audit using a number of handheld platforms, and pricing is available for a single user and multiple users. Talk to ARCA and see why over 120 licences are already being used.

Member Site Audit Portal Via a private portal members will be able to log in to view and analyse the results of their membership audits, as well as any additional audits booked through ARCA and internal audits undertaken using the Member Internal Site Audit App. A trend analysis graph of overall performance and the elements Plan, Do and Check, will allow members to be able to monitor progress, identify areas of good performance and any areas that may need attention. A list of priority actions will also be generated along with a mechanism to produce an Action Plan for any nonconformances. Thereby demonstrating a Plan, Do, Check, Act approach to continuous improvement, and health and safety management. Coming soon!

Management System Review Having the right systems in place is crucial, as robust management systems give confidence, and the principles of effective management support every aspect of a business to operate more efficiently. ARCA can undertake a review of a business’s management systems, structures and communications between office and on-site, to critically examine the way the business is functioning and how well the business can demonstrate effective management arrangements.

Specialist Advice The Association’s team is available to support the specific needs of a member contractor, whether that is an in-depth review of Plans of Work or the company’s TNA system.
