Proctor Construction Company was founded by Donald C. Proctor and his father Ennis in 1976. To this day, we remain a privately held, family owned fourth generation company. We are a company large enough to do your amenity work, being bondable up to two hundred million dollars in the aggregate, and small enough to care about every detail of your vision that will become a reality. Proctor Construction Company has an exemplary track record of successfully completed projects. We are a diversified construction management firm with offices throughout the Treasure Coast and Palm Beach County. In 1983 Proctor Construction Company completed The Moorings Yacht & Country Club in Vero Beach, Florida and we have grown our clubhouse portfolio ever since. It is important to note that we have been building for private club clientele since our inception. We began as the exclusive high-end custom residential home builder for the John’s Island Club in Vero Beach, Florida. 45 years later, Proctor Construction Company continues to not only construct the critical amenities for country clubs across the Treasure Coast and Palm Beach County but also custom attached residential that goes along with that unique club experience. WHO WE ARE ESTABLISHED 1976 This year, Proctor Construction Company celebrates its 45th anniversary providing construction services to Martin, Palm Beach, Indian River, St. Lucie, Brevard, Sumter Counties as well as Monroe County. Proctor Construction Company began as Town Island Builders, providing residential construction management exclusively to the community of John’s Island in Vero Beach. The formation of Proctor Construction Company allowed diversification from offering single family residential construction services to providing what the name has become synonymous with, quality, commercial real estate development and multi-family residential project enhancement of the Treasure Coast and surrounding areas. Since 1976, Proctor Construction Company has provided commercial and residential construction totaling over one and a half billion dollars. Donald C. Proctor founded Proctor Construction in 1976.

Along with being the Chairman/CEO of Proctor Construction Company, Donald served as President of the Moorings Development Company from 1984 to 1991 and of Grand Harbor Development from 1991 to 1997. Moorings Development Company included 675 acres with 1120 units from the ocean to the river. Grand Harbor was 930 acres and included 27 holes of golf and a 144 slip marina with over 2000 dwelling units. Oak Harbor is a premier life care community consisting of 116 acres with an assisted living facility. These two award-winning projects thrived under Donald’s development and management expertise to become comprehensive hallmark communities in Indian River County, serving as models for other developments.

Donald is widely recognized as a benefactor of the Education Foundation, Indian River State College, Cleveland Clinic Indian River, The United Way, cultural events and youth sports programs, and broadly promotes general building industries throughout the state. Donald currently serves as director on a variety of local boards and charitable notable positions which include being a founding board member for The Environmental Learning Center, and the Cultural Council.

QUAIL VALLEY ON THE POINTE Vero Beach, FL

Quail Valley on the Pointe is operated by the Quail Valley Golf and River Club for the exclusive benefit of its members and guests. Designed by Peacock + Lewis, One Royal Palm Pointe totals 47,000 square feet with 22,000 square feet under air. It consists of a 3-story, 11 room luxury private hotel and 2 story private restaurant as well as 1,000 square feet of outside dining, a 4,000 square foot riverfront viewing dock and an underground garage.

QUAIL VALLEY RIVER CLUB Vero Beach, FL

Designed by Peacock + Lewis, this exclusive, riverfront yacht club has over 44,000 square feet of usable, recreational space for private use. Amenities include a 19,400 square foot clubhouse with a rotunda-styled dining room, a two-story 17,200 square foot fitness center with cupola, two-story dock master building with 24-slip marina, community pool & spa and children’s pool, tennis pavilion and 8 clay tennis courts, administration building and guardhouse. Site work included demolition of previous site buildings and Olympic pool, relocation of historical oak trees, construction of an elaborate privacy wall, and refurbishment of docks and tennis courts.

MIZNER COUNTRY CLUB CENTRAL Delray Beach, FL

Designed by LEO A DALY, Mizner’s new two story, 42,000 square foot, stat of the art fitness and lifestyle center consists of separate Aerobics, Spin and Pilates rooms. There will be a new Tennis Proshop, Massage physical therapy rooms, a kid’s center, new catering kitchen, 150 seat dining room, bar, lounge, Ladies card room, employee offices and a grab and go café a new concrete paver patio with an Olympic sized main pool, separate kids pool , spa, water feature wall, fire pit and outdoor amphitheater area. A fully automated building with the latest technology, upgraded electrical, utilities, and site lighting, Mizner will have premium finishes from walls to ceilings, millwork to stone tops to fixtures.

THE MOORINGS YACHT & COUNTRY CLUB Vero Beach, FL

Proctor Construction Company worked with Peacock + Lewis in constructing The Moorings Clubhouse which is 54,000 square feet. The Club offers an imaginative Pete Dye designed golf course, tennis facilities, swimming pool, “Oasis Spa” and several dining areas for its members. Through the years we have continually added major renovations such as new bars, administration building and new maintenance facility. Their recreation area now has three new tennis and pickleball courts with a tennis pavilion.

GROVE XXIII Hobe Sound, FL

Designed by Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates , this project included a 24,152 gross square feet of Clubhouse with 18,072 sqft under air and included of another 9,573 square feet of 3 ancillary buildings, the Gatehouse, the Range Building, and Cart Shelter. The Clubhouse structure is a cast in place concrete structure decorated with architectural steel, decorative aluminum beams and trellises, window walls and Dominican Coral Stone. Clubhouse interior has serves men and women with locker rooms, lounges, administration offices, a commercial kitchen and the Pro Shop that serves as the hub for the world renowned Grove XXIII Golf Course. The project has an underground golf cart parking and elevated concrete roof.

SAILFISH POINT FITNESS CENTER, HALFWAY HOUSE & CLUBHOUSE Stuart, FL

Designed by Peacock + Lewis, Sailfish Point Fitness Center, Halfway House & Clubhouse was completed in 2 phases.

Phase 1 construction totaled 14,458 square feet. This included the construction of the new Cross Roads Café and relocation of the fitness center from the existing clubhouse to a new fitness center/aquatics area. Phase 2 involved a complete renovation of the existing Clubhouse dining areas, spa facilities and common areas as well as converting the existing fitness center to multiple card rooms and the addition of an open air, covered, elevated deck terrace.

HARBOUR RIDGE YACHT & COUNTRY CLUB Palm City, FL

Proctor Construction Company constructed the Harbour Ridge Lifestyle Center in two phases. Designed by Peacock + Lewis, phase one included demolition of three structures, four tennis courts, one pool and construction of a new 1,500 square foot Sales Center building including new site utilities and installation of a 37,000 square foot parking lot. Phase 2 was the construction of the 18,600 square foot Lifestyle Center Building which includes a 4,800 sq ft fitness center, spa facility and tennis pro shop complete with a food service area to accommodate the pool and tennis patrons. In addition, we added four new tennis courts and a 2,500 square foot pool with a new deck area and maintenance building.

MARINER SANDS FITNESS FACILITY Stuart, FL

Designed by Kelly & Kelly Architects, Proctor Construction Company constructed Mariner Sand Fitness Facility which totaled 8,062 square feet. The new construction included a new 6,914 square foot fitness center and a 1,148 square foot spa. In addition a new 57 space lighted parking lot was added.

ORCHID ISLAND TENNIS & WELLNESS CENTER Vero Beach, FL

Designed by Peacock + Lewis, Proctor Construction Company renovated Orchid Island’s Tennis and Wellness Center that included 11,000 square feet of high end finishes containing aerobic area, locker rooms, a work out facility, tennis courts and theory rooms.

VERO BEACH COUNTRY CLUB POOL & FITNESS Vero Beach, FL

Designed by Donadio & Associates this project consists of a 50,000 SF fitness building with dual use pool/fitness locker and restrooms, a large open equipment room and a separate exercise breakaway space. A second building includes a large commercial kitchen space with a fully covered walk-up canopy for take out orders, restrooms and a large outdoor bar and seating area overlooking the 9th hole. Site amenities include 11,000 SF of pool patio and entertaining space as well as a 2,700 SF pool with zero entry pool access.

REDSTICK Vero Beach, FL

Proctor Construction Company built the RedStick Clubhouse which is 15,000 square feet of unique finishes containing dining facilities, locker rooms and professional golf shop. This exclusive golf club organization is modeled after the uniquely south Florida architecture made famous by Addison Mizner in the early 20th Century. Incorporating reclaimed, white oak solid beam ceilings throughout the facility, 18,000 pounds of it hang in the main dining room, and reclaimed limestone shipped from France for the flooring and fireplace surround, this clubhouse evokes a walk back in time. The “old Florida” feeling is brought to opulence here in a two-story setting just for men. Completed in 2001, it is 17,000 square feet of hand hewn plaster walls and old fashioned detailing. The library boasts wood panels of coffered cypress and a rare humidor made of Spanish cypress. The inviting exterior features Alhambra tile from South America, true barrel-style roof tile, stucco walls and steel windows. Located on the mainland, membership is through private disclosure.

GRAND HARBOR Vero Beach, FL

This 28,000 square foot, two-story clubhouse provides fine dining to residents of Grand Harbor’s 750 acre golf and waterfront community, located along the western shore of the Indian River in Vero Beach. Swim and tennis clubs, a 7,500 square foot golf facility shared between two 18-hole golf courses, and a private harbor define the lifestyle so fundamentally celebrated here. Clubhouse amenities include an inviting lobby, complete with a magnificent fireplace, grand dining room, bar, full kitchen and spectacular views of the surrounding Florida marshlands. Inside, the ceilings feature an exposed truss system with laminated beams while the exterior features a Mediterranean style of architecture. The clubhouse was completed in 1995 while construction throughout the Grand Harbor community continued on through 2000.
