Dear Friends,
Welcome to the 37th Annual Kentucky Farm Bureau Beef Expo! As the largest beef cattle state east of the Mississippi River, Kentucky is blessed to have this event as a staple on agriculture calendar each year.
Every year at the Beef Expo, Kentucky cattle producers show and sell some of the best cattle in the country to buyers looking to upgrade their genetics or take home project. This event is truly the place for the beef industry on the first weekend in March.
Over the years, we’ve seen ups and downs in the beef cattle market. challenges, the industry is still in the top five for Kentucky agriculture, accounting for in 2022. This is a true testament to Kentucky’s cattle producers.
Agriculture across Kentucky saw some unique challenges in 2022 when devastating weather events and animal disease across the state had huge impacts on agriculture. But despite all of it, economists from the University of Kentucky recently reported agricultural receipts for 2022 could be a record-high $8 billion, well surpassing the 2021 record billion.
These numbers show how important agriculture is to the state of Kentucky and cattle producers are a large With nearly a million head of beef cattle in the commonwealth and more than 38,000 farms with beef cattle, Kentucky is one of the top states in the country for beef inventory.
As we move forward this year, one of the priorities for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture and myself is maintaining Kentucky’s leader status as host of major agricultural shows. In an effort to make that hap appropriated $200 million for renovations for the Kentucky Exposition Center.
In November, the Kentucky State Fair Board, where I serve as a member, presented a redevelop the Expo Center and the land surrounding it including upgrades to Freedom Hall, the West Arena – areas where many of our agricultural shows take place. The plan events, such as this one, as construction revives it to a state-of-the-art facility that rivals anyth
Lastly, a lot of work goes into making this event possible every year. As always, I wish to thank Kentucky Venues CEO David Beck and his team for the many hours that went into hosting this event.
Again, welcome, and best wishes on an enjoyable and successful Kentucky Farm Bureau Beef Expo. can be of service to you, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Long spined, big hipped, heavy boned. Just a few ways to describe this solid red bull. Here’s a few more...large testicles, polled, free moving, free of genetic defects. We don’t keep many bulls but feel this one can do a lot of good for someone. He fills his tracks and covers the ground free and easy. Fire water truly checks all the boxes. Weighed 1150 at 345 days. We used Leveldale Rolling Stone a bunch in our AI program and one look at Keep It Rollin and you will understand why! Rolling Stone has been a good cross on our cowherd and has complimented what we already had while adding a little extra punch to the calves! The dam of this bull is a cow I purchased from the Martindell program as a yearling heifer. KEEP IT ROLLIN is a bull that is very stout made, easy keeping bull that is complete in his design. He is correct in his skeleton and get gets out and travels extremely well. By sale time, he will be 18 months old so he will be ready for service. Semen tested and ready to go! Check his video out on YouTube by searching his name.

We need to go on record right now that we should not be selling this one! We just cannot say enough good things about the dam of this heifer and what she has done so far for us. For example, her first heifer calf when she was a two-year old was reserve in the TN Agribition Sale show. Another heifer calf is a productive cow for a breeder in the Midwest & one of her sons is a herd bull in New York! We feel C Blue Rose 186K has knocked it out of the park with MFK Rebel Rose. She catches your eye immediately & was a standout in the group of fall heifers when we started sorting through them to pick sale entries. Rebel Rose puts a lot of good things together. She is big topped, square hipped and bold sprung. Our loss is your gain, don’t forget to bring your checkbook on sale day! CHV.

We have been very pleased with what her dam has done for us. If we had to criticize her, it would be that she mainly has only bull calves! We have liked the way the Glenford Miner daughters have developed. They are turning into nice productive cows.
