SUPERINTENDENT'SMESSAGE
Dear Santa Fe students, staff, parents, and community,
We are excited to release this edition of our Annual SFISD Magazine! It is an exciting time for us to work in partnership with our community as we build on the past successes of Santa Fe ISD. Our overarching theme this school year is, “Our Community, Our Legacy, Our Future.” This theme has never been more important. Our primary goal is to make sure that we do everything possible so that every Santa Fe student is safe, successful, and prepared for life after graduation
Here are a few important updates for you as we begin the new school year:
School Safety – Our campus staff and security personnel are always mindful of student safety. This is our first priority. Our staff has worked diligently this summer to update our security protocols and safety procedures. Please feel free to visit with our administrators, our police officers, and our front office personnel if you have questions
Cell Phone/Dress Code Policies – Parents and community members helped revise our SFISD Cell Phone and Dress Code policies this summer. Student cell phones must be turned off during the school day at SFJH and SFHS, and our modest dress code still allows parents to shop for clothes more reasonably See full policy at www.sfisd org
Social Media – Share the good news! We invite you to follow us on social media as we increase communication with our parents and the community We also encourage you to help promote the positive things happening in our schools We are proud of our hardworking students and teachers in SFISD!
Congratulations to our teachers and staff on the recent elevation of our SFISD Academic Accountability Rating Santa Fe ISD earned a “B” letter grade from the Texas Education Agency for 2022, and all five campuses improved their individual accountability scores
I have enjoyed my first full year in Santa Fe ISD! On behalf of our School Board, we invite you to partner with us as we work diligently to provide every student in Santa Fe with the best education possible We appreciate all your help and support Go Indians!!
Cordially,
Kevin M Bott, Ed D Superintendent Santa Fe I S D
