Coming off a 20-year career in community planning and real estate incentives, an opportunity emerged for Doug Rasmussen to utilize a different set of skills. His ear for music and nose for talent propelled him into a career managing rock bands. And while success ensued, his greatest takeaway was in overlaying the authenticity and collaboration inherit to great music with a better way to do development. In 2019, CEO Doug Rasmussen, created a new sound in economic and community development with the founding of Steadfast City.
