Strategic Directions

Vision

At St Columba’s College we seek to guide faith-filled discernment, and empower learners who are called to action, in our hope for a just world.

We are an inclusive Catholic school for young women, guided by the educational mission of Mary Aikenhead ministries. Our evolving story is bound by the ties of the enduring tradition of the past, the rich work of the present and our hope for the future. With God at the centre in our call to love one another, we are committed to developing:

MissionFaith, justice and compassion; Curiosity and educational endeavour; The dignity of the human person; Stewardship of creation.

IntroductionOur Catholic Identity is integral to everything we do at the College – who we are as a Catholic community should be experienced in every facet of school life. This has been reflected in the development of these Strategic Directions – our aspirations for Faith, Mission and Identity will be realised through our work across each of the remaining pillars, Learning Teaching Wellbeing, Leadership for Mission, Environment and Resources, and Community Relations. With Faith in the enduring story of Jesus, his life, ministry and the values of the Gospel and Fidelity to the expressive story of Mary Aikenhead and the Sisters of Charity, we commit to our evolving story that carries our faith, spirituality and tradition purposefully forward.

You have planted them, and they have taken root; they grow and bear fruit.

This new Strategic Directions Statement captures St Columba’s College commitment to growth and development to support the full flourishing of each person, giving impetus and inspiration to take forth the mission of the Sisters of Charity to live the Gospel and serve the poor.
