MAJOR OFFICIALS NEWSLETTER
EDITION ONE | 06.02.25
Dear all,

Welcome to the first edition of the Major Officials Newsletter. The goal of this newsletter is to keep all students and staff informed and up to date with the Major Officials and what we are currently working on and discussing, and in turn make everyone feel more involved and comfortable to share their views on how to improve our school. At the bottom of the newsletter are two pages with the 2025 Major Official Team, including our names, roles, and photographs so you can familiarise yourselves with us.
This is our second week as Major Officials and we’ve already had our first school council meeting last Thursday, Fishes Lunch this Monday, and are currently running the events for Children’s Mental Health Week this week. As a team, we meet every Monday lunchtime to discuss our plans and goals for the week ahead, and every Thursday morning.
Our first whole school meeting is on Monday so we thought it would be a great idea to let you know some of the motions and ideas we have been discussing so far:
Incorporating digital learning to enhance academic progress for all - Stella is giving a presentation on this topic on Monday in Morning Talk.

Year Group/Company meetings to gather and discuss motions - As stated at the school council meeting, lots thought that it would be a good idea to provide a more efficient and effective method of hearing and passing student voice to the council, which could be achieved by regular meetings with the Major Officials and companies or year groups. Some Major Officials will be going around companies on Friday.
Clocks - We are aware that a lot of clocks around the school do not work, and a new set of clocks have been ordered and will be up shortly.
Social Spaces - We have been informed that there are a lot of issues around Social Spaces, which seems to be a recurring topic, so are discussing the creation of a Social Space Committee in order to sort out this problem.
Daniel da Silva, our Chair of Be Green has made a poster for the ‘Bee Green Committee’, which is on the page below, please email majorofficials@stchris.co.uk if you would like to be involved in it.
Thank you very much for reading our first Newsletter, and a reminder that we have our Bake Sale for Children’s Mental Health Week at little break today.
