MAJOR OFFICIALS NEWSLETTER
EDITION SEVEN | 11.06.25
Dear all,

Welcome to the seventh edition of the Major Officials Newsletter. Since our last newsletter, we have held our 3 whole school meeting, where we voted on which charities to donate to for next weekends St Christopalooza. The next school council meeting is tomorrow, Thursday 12 June, at 1pm in IT, so please remember to discuss motions with your company reps in company time before! rd th
We decided that raising money for 2 charities, one local and one larger organisation, would be a good idea for the St Christopalooza. From the 5 options we proposed in the whole school meeting (Garden House Hospice, MIND, Cancer Research UK, Albert Kennedy Trust, and WWF), the 2 that got the most votes were the Garden House Hospice and Cancer Research UK.
Since our last newsletter we completed our 24hr run around the 400m school track, raising money for Sport in Mind and TRACKS Autism, with the final sum of donations coming to £3136 between them both, over £1000 more than what we had first hoped for! Our initial goal was to collectively run to Minsk, the capital of Belarus in Eastern Europe, around 1850km away from Letchworth. We ran an enormous total of 4871 laps as a school around the track, meaning that we competed 1948km over the 24 hours.

This distance means that we made it nearly 100km further than Minsk, and that we also made it to the very top of Africa in Morocco. Thank you very much to all that ran or donated, you made this achievement possible!
