De p os i t

The damage deposit is fully refundable after the event assuming there are no damages or additional fees. The damage deposit may not be applied to the rental fee. Damage deposit prices vary. There is a twenty percent facility (venue) deposit due with the signed contract and damage deposit that is credited to the rental fee.

Re n ta l Fe e s

The final rental fee is due two months prior to the event date. Payments may be made in the office, over the telephone, online (https://t.uga.edu/2SO), or by mail. Rental prices vary by venue, time, day and month. For an official price quote, please contact the rental office at (706) 542-6467 or sbgrent@ uga.edu.

The day rental is from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. The evening rental is from 4:30 p.m.-12 a.m. A full-day rental is a 10-hour block of the renter’s selection between 8:30 a.m. and 12 a.m. Some facilities are restricted to specific rental blocks. Setup and cleanup must be completed within the rental block. We recommend the renter begin the event at least one hour after the rental start time and conclude the event at least one hour prior to the rental end time.

Di s cou n ts

We also offer a fifty percent discount for licensed nonprofits and UGA departmental events paid for with UGA departmental funds.

Venues Ca te ri n g The garden does not provide catering. All caterers must be selected from our vendor list, available on our website. Caterers may be added to the list; additional paperwork and fees apply. Please note that each catered event requires an additional surcharge, charged to the caterer, to offset costs and maintenance from hosting events. Catering surcharges vary according to building. Typically, the caterer will handle setup and cleanup. The renter must arrange this with the caterer directly. If the event will not be catered, the renter is responsible for all setup and cleanup. Setup may not begin until the rental start time and cleanup must be completed by the rental end time. The garden recommends at least one hour for setup and one hour for cleanup. Do not start your event less than 30 minutes after the rental start time or end your event less than 30 minutes prior to the rental end time. Cleanup sheets are provided to the renter for each venue. Incomplete cleanup may result in additional fees or loss of the security deposit.

Alcoh ol We are part of the University of Georgia campus. All events must abide by the UGA Alcohol Policy. In addition to the UGA Alcohol Policy, each venue has additional restrictions. Please review each venue for specific limitations. All venues restrict the use of kegs.
