MESSAGE FROM ADMINISTRATION Dear School Families, Registration for '17-'18 is well underway. New student registration started Monday and continues through Tuesday, February 21st. This includes applications for new siblings from our current families. We're working on finalizing our calendar for next year, but are waiting on final dates from the Archdiocese. We will get the official calendar out as soon as it is complete. Next week is Internet Safety Week on campus. We invite all parents to join us for a special Mission Matters, at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, February 15th. We will have a great speaker on Healthy Technology Use and Social Media.

STEPS for Students is next Saturday in downtown Houston! We have our largest team ever and would love for you to join us! Don’t want to walk or run? You can still join our team and “HIT SNOOZE” for Students. Visit steps4students.org for more information. The money raised supports our school and helps us reach our overall fundraising goal for 2016-2017.

Since next Tuesday is Valentine's Day our discipleship message this week focuses on loving one another. Jesus said to His apostles during the Last Supper "I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another." (John 13:34) He was talking about a very special kind of love. It was unselfish love, loving another person for the other person's sake without expecting anything in return. It could also be called unconditional love. God created everyone out of this special kind of love. As His disciples he calls us to witness His love to all we meet. It's easy to love those close to us and those like us. It's a lot harder to love those that we don't understand, don't know, or don't have an appreciation for. So when disagreements and differences come, it is important to remember that God does not ask us to like one another; he calls us to love one another. We are called to share God's love with all you meet not just on Valentine's Day or during Lent, but every day of the year.

Happy Valentine's Day to all! Monday, February 13th is an Early Release Day with dismissals at 10:30, 2:15 and 2:30. The following Monday, February 20th is a school holiday for students and an in-service day for staff. We wish everyone a great weekend!
