Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! -

MY MUSTANG IS MORE THAN A CAR, IT IS A CONTINUATION OF A
LEGACY.
Ever since I can remember, l’ve been drawn to the 2005-2009 Ford Mustangs. I was born just a year before the S197 generation hit the streets. My love for Mustangs started early.
At age 3, my grandmother gave me a 2005 Mustang Power Wheels, and from then on, it was in my blood.
My dad always had a Mustang in the driveway growing up, especially Foxbodies, and that influenced how I style my GT today. l used to tell everyone that one day l would own a black S197 Mustang and at the age of 17 that dream became reality. Now 21, l have spent the last few years building my Mustang. From its stance to its subtle nods to the past, my Mustang is more than a car, it is a continuation of a legacy.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

One of the greatest parts of my Mustang journey has been the unwavering support from my family. My dad, a lifelong Mustang enthusiast, currently owns a 1989 Foxbody GT, and my twin sister proudly drives a 1987 Foxbody notchback so you could say Mustangs run in our veins. Growing up in a household where car culture was part of everyday life, I always felt encouraged to chase my dream of owning and building a Mustang. Their belief in me has fueled every step of the journey.

I DECIDED TO LEAVE ALL THE DRIFT PARTS ON THE CAR, PRESERVING THE HISTORY OF THIS MUSTANG.
This is my 2005 Mustang GT, a drift car turned show car. The previous owner was using this car to compete in drift events all over Texas.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. After purchasing the car from him, I took it apart to get ready for a color change. I painted the car in July of 2023. After it was painted, I decided to leave all the drift parts on the car, preserving the history of this Mustang.
Currently, the engine has been pulled and the engine bay has been painted to match the rest of the car. It also has a New Forged 4.6 3v engine going in the car this summer.

I AM A PROUD UNITED STATES ARMY VETERAN...
This is my 2008 Shelby GT500, nicknamed Jörmungandr the world serpent. This car makes 600 RWP ripping through the mountains of West Virginia. This car is loud and fast and fun to drive.

It’s got long tube headers, cat delete X-pipe, and Borla S type axle backs. It’s also lowered 1.5 inches along with a smaller supercharger pulley and tuned on 93 octane fuel. I am a proud United States Army Veteran and I am very grateful to have my car featured on the cover of STANG Magazine.

IT’S ABOUT FEELING THE ROAD, HEARING THE DEEP GROWL OF THE SUPERCHARGED V8, AND EXPERIENCING THE THRILL...
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. I knew I was in for more than just a drive. I was stepping into a legacy. The California Special, a name synonymous with power and West Coast style, has always stood out in the Mustang lineup. Owning and driving one isn’t just about transportation; it’s about feeling the road, hearing the deep growl of the supercharged V8, and experiencing the thrill that only a true muscle car can provide.
Whether carving through winding backroads or cruising down the highway, the GT/CS delivers an experience of precision and raw energy. The responsive handling, the thunderous exhaust note, and the way the car seems to beg for open road. It’s a feeling that never gets old. Every drive is an event, a reminder of why Mustang culture has remained strong for decades.
For me, the GT/CS isn’t just a car, it’s a statement. It represents the freedom of the open road, the passion of driving enthusiasts, and the timeless appeal of American muscle. It’s more than just horsepower and torque. It’s a way of life and as long as the road stretches ahead, I’ll be behind the wheel.

MUSTANG DNA –2015 MUSTANG GT
THESE SPECIAL BONDS WITH OUR CARS AND EACH OTHER...
MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
It was an early Spring day in 1971 when my Dad came home with a brand new 1971 Mach 1. My brothers and I were instantly bitten by the Mustang bug. Since that day, we have owned several Mustangs and often say, “Mustangs are in our DNA.”
I have owned multiple generations, but this one is my favorite.
I purchased my 2015 Ruby Red Mustang GT, new in August of 2015. She is a 6 speed manual and runs on Aodhan AFF7 wheels (staggered). Under the hood, there is a Ford Performance Power Pack 2. To dress up the engine bay, I added an engine dress up kit, hood struts and strut bar all from Ford Performance along with an overflow tank and oil separator from Mishimoto. I also had the engine cover and valve covers custom painted in Ruby Red to match the exterior. I have upgraded the exhaust with a Borla Atak axle-back to give her a more aggressive sound and I have upgraded the front and rear anti-sway bars for those canyon runs. In the cockpit, the pedals were upgraded and a carbon fiber/leather steering wheel was added.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. My passion for the Mustang has connected me with fellow Mustang lovers around the world. I have formed some amazing friendships with some fantastic people.

IT HANDLES LIKE A BEAST!
As a kid, I grew up watching my dad and uncles driving their Mustangs. I always wanted one but I never found the right one until now. I work in construction and eight years ago when my company was doing an addition on a big dealership, I found the one!
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. On the first day when I got to the job site, I saw this beauty and right away I knew this was the Mustang that I was waiting for. Eight years went by and I still love it as much as the first day I saw it. I love driving a Mustang and it is even more amazing to drive a Roush Mustang. It is like a dream come true!
I love this car and will keep this one forever. It handles like a beast!

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
Hi. My name is Chris Valdez. I am the President of the High Desert Mustang Club in Albuquerque, NM. I have a 2017 Shelby GT350 that I call REDSNAKE.
I founded High Desert Mustang Club in 2024. Our mission is to encourage the restoration, preservation, and fun of the Ford Mustang as a family with respect and unity for all. My vision is simple, everyone has a voice, and we treat each other like family. My goal is to create a Mustang club that allows all members to express their opinions and collaborate to make the club the best it can be.
I bought my Shelby in 2022 with the sole attention of making it a show car. I have attended a total of 74 car shows to date and have won 40 awards. I absolutely love my Shelby.
I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

I DON’T KNOW THAT I’VE EVER BEEN HAPPIER...
MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
When I first met my wife, I was driving a red 35th Anniversary GT. After a few years, I realized that I would need something more economical and traded it in for a Volkswagen Jetta. It was a smart move but I never really got over “losing” my Mustang.
For years I would jump on cars.com and other resale websites looking to see if I could find another one. I didn’t really have the intention of ever buying another one as I had changed professions a couple of times and the money was never there.
After ten years, I found a red 1999 35th Anniversary Edition in late 2023 for sale in Indianapolis and I knew that I had to have it. It was priced well and only had 22,400 miles on the odometer. I told my wife and I got the expected response “there will be another one”. I explained that there probably wouldn’t be one in this good of condition with so few miles.
She saw how much I wanted the car and so she told me to go look at it. Two days later, I hopped an early flight out of San Antonio to see it in person. It was even better than I expected so I flew home, signed the paperwork, and wired the money the next day. Three days later it was in my driveway. I don’t know that I’ve ever been happier (other than my wedding day of course).
I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

IT IS ABOUT HONORING A FAMILY TRADITION...
The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. My passion for Mustangs runs deep - it is a bond that spans generations in my family. It all began when I was in college, learning how to drive stick shift in my dad’s Mustang. That experience sparked something lasting, especially with the memories of riding in my grandma’s Mustangs as a kid. Her cars were part of the backdrop of our childhood, creating a connection to the Mustang legacy that felt personal and powerful.
This year, that lifelong passion took a big leap when I bought my first Mustang in January. Since then, I have embraced every opportunity to enjoy the car to its fullest - from taking it to the race track to participating in Mustang Week Texas 2025. There is something unmatched about the roar of the engine and the feeling of being behind the wheel. For me, it is not just about owning a car - it is about honoring a family tradition, chasing adrenaline, and becoming part of a community that shares the same love for Mustangs.
