Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

PEOPLE ARE AMAZED AT HOW HE CAN DRIVE SUCH AN IMPRESSIVE AND UNIQUE CAR IN SUCH A REMOTE AND EXOTIC LOCATION. This is one of the most famous Mustangs in Mauritius with a reach of about 12.9 million views on Facebook! Abu Bakr Maharaullee, the owner of this beautiful muscle machine, is planning to upgrade the supercharger kit to a phase 2, add a custom tune, and add a few other mods that will make the car even more exciting. It is currently sporting a 710 horsepower Roush-charged TVS 2650 supercharger package, a Performance 1-way coilover suspension system (height adjustable), Aero Corner pockets, Stage 3 serialized engine bay plaque, and Roush fender. Abu has a lifetime of Mustang passion which has been transmitted to his three sons who motivate him to upgrade and improve his Mustang to give it the best in performance. They often go on shooting trips to capture the beast in various tones and angles, which they later upload on Instagram and Facebook. Mohammad Maharaullee is the elder son of Abu Bakr and he is very enthusiastic and trilled to make the photo shoots for his dad. At the age of only 15, this adolescent is gifted with an expertise at photography and often clicks the “blood diamond” in different
angles and shares them on social media where he is also closely followed by fans. Not only is the car awesome and the photos wicked, but what is most amazing is that Abu lives on a very small island. People are amazed at how he can drive such an impressive and unique car in such a remote and exotic location. PHOTO CRED: MOHAMMAD MAHARAULLEE

Perhaps growing up around cars in the family didn’t help either but I definitely knew there would be an opportunity for me to create my own one day. Before purchasing the Mustang, every car I’ve owned has been modified with either wheels or a huge exhaust. It was just my thing. So initially I said I’d be happy with tinted windows and maybe lower it but that was only the very beginning for GRYHLK. Soon enough it actually turned into a passion as I could see what this car was turning into. Not only did I do this for myself, but I loved the reactions I would get when people would see the Mustang out and about on the streets and car shows around Melbourne. The compliments were so rewarding.
was drawn by something that I’ve always admired. The vintage classic VW beetles. Not only did I get sucked into buying one but I bought another! The 1967 Lotus white beetle is definitely a keeper. I gave it a few of my touches and she drives like a dream. The 1959 has a rat look and we’re currently working on this giving it a makeover. Be sure to check out the progress stages on Instagram 67BUG59 to see the finishing touches. As the Mustang community grew, we all started to find our way how to modify these cars to our own personal taste. There are too many modifications to mention so I won’t go through them all but here’s a few of my favorites. GRYHLK has GT350R brakes, Koya SF04 rims, Airlift suspension, custom interior, D1x super charger, full carbon fiber hood, trunk and diffuser, and of course so many of the accessories you can’t even see!

JESSICA –1998 FORD MUSTANG GT
NOW THAT I HAVE A SON OF MY OWN IT’S A TRADITION THAT I’M ENJOYING PASSING ON TO HIM AS WELL. My passion for Mustangs and cars in general comes from my father, who has taught me what I know today. My dad and I both have a couple Mustangs that we have worked on and modified over the years. They have been something that we have shared in common and bonded together with either building them or checking out shows and events together. Now that I have a son of my own it’s a tradition that I’m enjoying passing on to him as well. My 98 GT has come a long way and it definitely wasn’t in the greatest shape when I first bought it. It was similar to one that I had in high school so when I bought it, I wanted to complete the build I couldn’t do back in those days financially. I have now owned this car for about ten years and have slowly built it up the way I have envisioned it. Everything was done in my own garage with some late nights and busted knuckles, including repainting the entire car. I have more plans for this car and have loved taking it to shows and events like Mustang Week. Mods include a PI head swap with custom grind cams, Typhoon intake manifold and long tube headers, T-56
transmission from an 03 Cobra, Airlift Performance 3P air ride suspension, and 18x9/10 Rovos durban wheels. The list goes on but that’s the major mods done so far. PHOTO CRED: JOHNNY HARPER

My passion for cars started at a young age. Growing up ten miles south of Detroit “The Motor City” and going to car shows and various events throughout my childhood, I knew I was going to be a part of the industry. It was my future one way or another. When Ford announced the release of the Boss 302 Laguna Seca in 2010/2011 for 2012, I was finishing up high school. As soon as I saw the car, I knew it was on my bucket list of dreams to one day own one. As I was navigating my way through an automotive career, I was at the Ford Dearborn Development Center Test Track and came across a Laguna Seca in which I took my track driving training which further pushed my desire to own one and heated up my search not knowing a few short years later that I would come across the one I would call mine. As soon as I bought my 2012 Boss Laguna Seca, I wanted to enjoy it and use the car in a way that nods its head to the Boss 302 history and what it is designed for. This Laguna Seca spreads its wings at track events each year. It has attended the Mohawk Track Experience, the Autobahn Country Club, and other various road course tracks. I also love spending time going to various car

SCARLETT –1989 LX 5.0 HATCHBACK
THE LX HAS BEEN A LOT OF FUN OVER THE 24 YEARS THAT I’VE OWNED IT SO FAR AND I’M SURE THERE’S STILL A LOT MORE TO COME! I’ve loved Mustangs ever since I was a kid and I had my first Fox body when I was in high school when I got a 1979 USA package Mustang with a 2.3L and an automatic. It was seriously lacking in power, so when I got out of college, I bought a 1989 LX 5.0
and that fixed the problem. I bought the 1989 LX 5.0 that I currently Rallycross in 1998 and it’s had a lot of modifications since then. It was my year-round daily driver for quite a few years, which made for some interesting winter driving in Michigan, but that experience helped to prepare me for Rallycross where we r ace all year in all kinds of dif ferent conditions. There are very few V8 cars in Rallycross, but I’m pretty sure that I have more fun than a lot of the people racing cars with smaller engines and I occasionally take home a trophy too.

T OM N ORSKOV VELOCITY–2021 GT/CS
TOM HAS CRUISED IN THIS MUSTANG TO CAR SHOWS ALL OVER NEBRASKA, KANSAS, AND THE STANG MAG’S FIRST ANNUAL MUSTANG SHOW... Tom ordered this GT/CS in March of 2021 and took delivery in May, luckily arriving through the semiconductor shortage that was shutting down some of the production plants. The color is Velocity Blue with an Ebony interior. It has the 460 horsepower 5.0 Coyote engine with a console and paddle shifted 10 speed automatic. Tom added the Shelby style stripes in Black, outlined in Red, to coordinate with the Red accent stitching in the interior and the California Special emblems. Other cosmetic additions include the aluminum rear window louvers, dark tinted windows, under the hood GT/CS strut covers and coolant recovery tank cover, and adding a California Special emblem in the grille. Tom also installed a STO N SHO front license plate bracket that has a personalized plate that reads GT CS. Tom has cruised in this Mustang to car shows all over Nebraska, Kansas, and the STANG Mag’s First Annual Mustang Show that was held in Sedalia, Missouri. In seven shows, the GT/CS has garnered 11 trophies, with two being STANG Mag awards! The GT/CS joins Tom’s 1970 Boss 302 which has appeared in four of our previous STANG Mag issues.
Tom is maintaining a three ring binder full of history of this GT/CS for a future owner if he ever decides to part with this beauty. He has pictures from delivery transport, throughout the build process, and all added modifications and shows attended. PHOTO CRED: TOM NORSKOV

But to be fair, it’s not all work. Everyone needs a break every now and then. My girlfriend, who is also STANG Mag staff, and I took a little time this Winter to take a trip to St Lucia to celebrate New Year’s 2022. It was a trip that was memorable beyond what I could have expected. We took a week to hang out at Sandals Halcyon Resort on the western side of St. Lucia. I have to say, there couldn’t be a better place to be in the middle of a Pennsylvania Winter.

On the second adventure, what they failed to tell us is that Fire Coral could be on the rope that separates the snorkeling area from the open ocean and that when we swam under the rope, not to touch it. Turns out, Fire Coral is more closely related to jellyfish than it is coral, in that any contact with it will cause it to fire its stingers into whatever touches it. Who knew?!? Well, we got our firsthand experience with a Fire Coral contact. I’d give it 1 out of 10 stars. If you’re a masochist, I’d highly
