Mark Rouse is an Indianapolis native whose life and work reflect a profound interplay between resilience and creativity. Rouse was declared legally blind from Diabetic Retinopathy. His art not only expresses personal narratives but also conveys a broader message about health and awareness.

When you’re grieving the loss of a loved one, the holiday season can be especially difficult. Our Surviving the Holidays workshop offers practical tools and gentle support to help you prepare for the season and find moments of hope and healing along the way. This two-hour gathering provides guidance on navigating the many emotions that often arise during the holidays. You’ll learn helpful strategies for managing expectations, finding meaningful ways to honor your loved one, and caring for yourself in the midst of it all.

Our team has just returned from Tanzania and is excited to share stories of the people, culture, and opportunity they experienced. This year you can feed a family and feed your soul through service and connection. Thanksgiving is a time to gather with friends and family over a meal, but for some access to a hot meal and a warm heart isn’t a guarantee. Volunteer opportunities include, cooking and meal prep, meal assembly, home delivery driving, and serving meals at Cathedral Kitchen. And if you can’t serve, donations are always welcomed. DOVE HOUSE FOOD COLLECTION

BEGINS OCTOBER 26

Dove Recovery House is the largest addiction recovery center for women in Indiana, empowering residents to become substance-free, self-sufficient and healthy. Last November, Midtown stocked the Dove House pantry, and we are collecting food again this year. Grocery bags passed out 11/26.
