William J. Shin is semi-retired and works as a contract consultant for strategic global procurement. He exercises at the health club several times a week and enjoys fishing, photography, computer and sports activities. 1960 Louis G. Alba retired from IBM after 30 years and also retired from high school teaching. He published a book on growing up in Brooklyn in 2008. He is continuing his writing career while serving as a substitute teacher. Lou was instrumental in helping organize the Class of 1960’s 50th Anniversary Reunion Celebration this past spring. Peter M. Swist currently resides in Franklin Lakes, NJ with his wife, Ann, of 40 years. His mom, Mary, turned 100 in January of this year. He is active in local charitable and national professional associations.

Joseph T. Skerrett earned his PhD. from Yale University in 1975. He retired from U. Mass, Amherst in 2009 after 40 years of college teaching there and elsewhere. Philip J. Wierzbicki has been married for 42 years and retired in 2006. He has two children: Dr. Dania Wierzbicki, Allergy and Immunology, and Dr. Derek Wierzbicki, Emergency room medicine & hyperbaric medicine. Patrick J. Carroll has seven children and 14 grandchildren. He has earned numerous police community awards over his fortyfive years in policing career which includes 28 years with the NYPD and 17 years with New Rochelle Police Department. Anthony J. Biancaniello has two children and three grandchildren. Charles T. Obermeyer has a son, Jeffrey, who recently received a Masters Degree in Military History, cum laude, from Norwich University.
A Golden Anniversary Reunion Weekend: In keeping with an old SFP senior class tradition, several members of the Class of 1960 took a Circle Line Boat Ride around Manhattan.
Patrick M. Demery is a retired bank executive after a 43 year career in commercial banking. He is still active as board member of Risk Management Associates and Financial Consulting. Robert P. Costanzo married Anne Bartezs in 1982 and they have two sons: Daniel & Chris. He has enjoyed a rewarding career as an actor in movies, television, and theatre. Bob has also had a voiceover career for 35 years and appeared in the first season of the television series NYPD Blue. John J. O’Connor served on the NYPD for 34 years and board of directors of the Commack Little League. He was also a basketball coach at Christ the King & St. Patrick’s in Smithtown, NY. He is married 42 years and has one son.

Two deceased members of the Class of 1960 were honored posthumously the the Golden Anniversary Reunion on May 1, 2010. Joseph Conlon was a Deputy Chief Investigator and a Brigadier General in the US Army Reserve whose last assignment was during Operation Desert Storm (left). Lawrence Stack joined the FDNY in 1967 after serving in Vietnam. He perished on 9/11 while working on the ground floor of the North Tower. His children, Brian and Michael (right), both with the FDNY, accepted a plaque in honor of their father.
