It is not straightforward to provide feedback via email or through other online platforms, so whilst staff will acknowledge work that they are sent, it is not possible for marking to be done in the usual way. Where possible staff are setting work that pupils can mark or check themselves.

How Much Work Should I Be Doing?

There might be several parts to a task, or different choices of work.

For example, there might be work booklets to complete, online assignments or creative tasks. We would like everyone to aim to complete work from 2 or 3 different subjects per day, so that you have covered all of your subjects by the end of the week.

Please note that in some subjects the teacher setting the work may not be your usual teacher, but they should still attempt the work assigned

How Do I Access My Work?

English/ Literacy: Bedrock Vocabulary App: All students have open access to the app which builds vocabulary through a digital vocabulary curriculum that

teaches words and academic verbs through reading original stories and non-fiction texts. The platform marks work as the student progresses and adapts to set a reasonable challenge. Passwords have been emailed through gmail accounts.

Maths Maths Watch

Teachers will set tasks for classes on maths watch. The platform will show students when they have successfully completed questions.

Duolingo helps language learning through games. It is a fun platform where students earn badges, climb up the leaderboards and collect lingots. www.duolingo.com This is Language

support with their learning at home. Students have been provided with

passwords but if they are struggling they can email their class teachers or form tutors for support with access.

This platform offers videos, grammar exercises and vocab games.

Borrow Box from Salford Libraries allows you to borrow up to 6 ebooks or eAudioBooks for free. You can join the library service at www.salfordcommunityleisure/libraries and download the app ‘BorrowBox Libraries’ to use.

Audible have also made a number of their books available for free. www.stories.audible.com/discovery.
