800 Meter Events These will start at 9.00am and will run concurrently with other field events. We will start at 9.00am with: 9 Years and 10 Years 800m followed by: 11 Years 800m 12 Years 800m 13 Years 800m Each age group will be called out as another finishes. Boys will be asked to leave their field events and then return. We will be working on each 800m age group taking no more than 30minutes. Field Events It would be advantageous if schools only bring their TOP THREE/FOUR competitors for field events. Due to time restrictions, High Jump will run with ONLY 2 ATTEMPTS at each height. The High Jump competition will stop after 40 minutes regardless of the number of competitors still remaining. AIC Track and Field Training General Training Session for ALL AIC Track and Field Participants: Monday Afternoons - Curlew Park from 3.30pm until 5pm. Wednesday Afternoons - Curlew Park from 3.30pm until 5pm. Hurdles Specific Training – College Back Oval (Wednesday Mornings 6.45am – 8am) Event Specific Coaches Sprints/Relays – Ryan Schultz and Tim Hoysted 400m/800m – Paul Toohey 1500m/3000m – Craig Gunn/Tim Draper Hurdles – Luke Donatini High Jump – Luke O’Grady Long/Triple Jump – Marthy Watson Throws (Shot/Javelin/Discus) – Helen Roberts, Cassie Harden and Phil Webb All interested students in Years 8 to 12 are invited to attend the training sessions on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.
