A Community of Compassionate Care s

FROM YOUR EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATOR,

TRACY TROTTER May 6 - May 12 Happy May. We are looking so forward to warmer weather and lesser restrictions, both of which are out of our control. One can still hope and pray though, right? The Covid 19 rules, while they have lessened for a good portion of the United States, including some medical settings, long term care has remained unchanged. Because we do not have Covid in the building our mitigation strategies are basically just masking and visitors social distancing from all residents except their loved ones. The latter is what prevents families from attending mass with their loved ones. When this restriction is lifted, we will allow family members of both residents and tenants to attend mass with their loved one. During May we celebrate National Nursing Home Week and Nurses Week. Both give tribute to the dedication, selflessness, and loyalty our employees give to the Marian Home residents daily. It is in tough times that you see someone’s best come out and I am here to tell you there is no better group of people I would want to take this journey with than the employees of the Marian Home. I am blessed to get to work along side THE BEST humans and we are all truly honored to care for those that came before us. Please take the time to thank a long-term care worker this month. Until you work in long term care you cannot fathom the work, effort and sacrifices these people make, especially in the last 2 years. Everyone, have a great month and continue to pray for us as we will for you. God Bless.

Tracy Trotter
