Virgil Abhol Virgil Abhol, an entrepreneur and fashion designer, recently died after a battle with cancer. His battle with cancer was private which is why his death shook the fashion community and anyone else that knew him to their core.

The moral of the story is that you only know what people choose to tell you, you don't know everything. Be kind to everyone you meet because they could be fighting a battle you know nothing about.

Dominoes Dominoes recently had a commercial that came on television that I think everyone needs to see.

In a nutshell, they were promoting eating locally, from other restaurants.

"If you aren't eating Dominoes then skip the app. and order from a local restaurant." They also are giving gift cards to other restaurants with a Dominoes purchase.

Genius, truly amazing.

With small businesses, especially small restaurant businesses, suffering these days because of the Pandemic, I command Dominoes for acknowledging other restaurants.

KIND Bars My local grocery store doesn't carry an extensive variety of a lot of products.

After going through the selection of most of the KIND Bars that I like, and wanting to try something new, I found myself on the KIND Bars website. With a plethora of flavors and varieties of bars to choose from, I was in heaven.

You can purchase their bars in bulk or, even better than one flavor in bulk, you can create your own box.

If you haven't created your own KIND Bars box to have delivered to your house you are surely missing out. The only downside is the extensive wait time (I waited several weeks before my box delivered), but I would do it again!

The Little Market The Little Market is a nonprofit charitable organization committed to poverty alleviation. They employ women from around the world to create goods.

These women that are working hard to create your products are women that are working in developing countries so they can put food on the table for their families, and keep a roof over their head.

You can find artisan created goods for yourself and even for friends and family. Check out their website at thelittlemarket.com and feel good about doing good.

Social Media Social media has earned a bad rap. It has negatively affected so many people that one company, LUSH, has quit select social media outlets. (Check out last week's issue of SIH to read more about LUSH.) I recently made a self-discovery that social media is only as good as what you put into it. I am concerned about our environment and humanity among other things. I want to help everyone I can, so my social media revolves around humankind, and how I can contribute positively to life in general. Follow accounts that make you want to be a better person and inspire you instead of causing hatred and sadness.

Trader Joe's Trader Joe's truly has some interesting items of food. I love wandering the aisles when I have some extra time, and see what new, interesting food items I can pick up to try. On a recent trip to Trader Joe's I came across a box of cranberry and brie bites that are absolutely delicious. These bites make a great appetizer or even an after work snack.

EveryPlate EveryPlate is truly everything you have ever wanted when it comes to meal planning. You go on their website, pick from an extensive selection of meals and they deliver the food directly to your order. The portion sizes are perfect and the food tastes delicious. I love the fact that we don't have leftovers afterwards as well, and each night is a new gourmet meal that can be made in less than an hour.
