WEEKLY THOUGHTS...

First, can we believe it's already March?

I can't! I was debating whether or not to put out a new issue this week because, as you will see, this issue is going to be lacking, but that's life, truly just gold ol' life.

I have been focusing on work and selfcare and haven't had much time to wander around the internet looking for things that intrigue me. I do have to say this was a good week, for the most part.

I have been reading Tara Schuster's book, "Buy Yourself the F*cking Lillies" and it has been truly life changing.

WEEKLY THOUGHTS...

I'm only about half way done with the book but have already highlighted the life out of it, and have started my own version of, "The Morning Pages".

The morning pages, if you haven't already started, are hands down life changing. As someone that struggles with anxiety, it's a way to let go of whatever stress I am holding on to by writing it down and talking myself through my emotions, like journaling. I also call it therapeutic, exhilarating, focusing, and calming. I'm sure there are some other words I should throw in there as well but haven't had the brain capacity to think of them.

In my journaling, after I pour out my heart and soul into my notebook until I have nothing left to give, I include a gratitude list of 10 things I am grateful for. As cheesy as it sounds, it truly puts things into perspective.

Along with journaling, WORDLE, The New York Times Spelling Bee, Manicures, and moments of peace with a cup of tea have been my saving grace.

I hope you can understand that this week a little different than weeks past. This week I felt a little different than weeks past.

I felt calm, cool, collected; at peace.

At peace with my past, kind of.

At peace with the present, and more importantly, at peace with the future, kind of (but we all need somewhere to start, right?!)

If I put my focus on the little things in the moment and very near future I am confident that the rest will pan out how it's suppose to pan out.
