T
he Columbia River can offer one of the greatest thrills a fisherman will ever experience. Much of this massive river divides the state of Washington and Oregon and holds some of the largest fish in North America. Strangely enough, most outdoor enthusiasts have never taken full advantage of all the opportunities this gem of a river offers fisherman. The Columbia River has made a name for itself with its beautiful location and outstanding salmon fishing, with over one million silvers running up the Columbia annually; however, when it comes to the largest freshwater fish in North America, not many people truly understand the incredible experience that awaits. We are talking about a fishing trip of a lifetime for White Sturgeon that can be easily accessed by car or plane with a major airport only minutes away in Portland, Oregon.
