Slavnost set for May 15 Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center (TCHCC) in La Grange invites you to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a family Sunday filled with music, food, laughter, Czech culture, and remembrance during the 20th Annual Slavnost ‘May Fest’ on May 15, 2022. Festivities begin with a recognition ceremony honoring 25 years of TCHCC at 10:30 a.m. A delicious chicken-fried chicken dinner will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m. Plenty of Czech-style desserts will also be available, along with refreshing beverages of all kinds. There will be live music from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (after the ceremony) on the deck of the main center by the Czechaholics Band. A special presentation and book signing will be held at 2 p.m. in the Hanslik Hall by Gabriela Gerhart, author of “After the Fall.” You’ll also have a chance to shop in the country store/pastry shop and the Kopecky Gift Shop where you’ll find unique gifts for dads, grads, birthdays, newlyweds, and Christmas ornaments in stock yearround and much more!
