District News District One Annual Meeting Sunday, June 6 at Lodge 9, Snook The District One Annual Meeting will be held Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Lodge 9, Snook. Lodge 9 will host the meeting with registration starting at 12:30 p.m. Lodge 9’s hall is located at 457 CR 269W in Snook, Texas. A meal will be served from 12 to 1 p.m. The meeting will start at 1:30 p.m. This is also the time for election of officers and the directors of the 501(c)(3) organizations.
Youth members are encouraged to participate in a decorated rock contest. Contest rules can be found in the youth handbook. With the SPJST Convention being held this year in August, I would like for as many delegates as possible to be at the meeting. There are a lot of things that need to be talked about. We need to be ready to find ways to keep SPJST moving forward. We hope to have a large turn out for our meeting. I hope to see you there. Fraternally, Randy Gaas District One President —SPJST—

District Two Annual Meeting Sunday, June 13 at Lodge 48, Beyersville
District Six Annual Meeting Sunday, June 13 at Camp Kubena
The annual business meeting of District Two will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at the new SPJST Lodge 48, Beyersville Hall. The address is 10450 FM 619 in Taylor, Texas. Directions are listed under Lodge 48’s information in the back of the Vestnik. Registration begins at 1 p.m. with the meeting following at 2 p.m. Be sure to register prior to 2 p.m. to be included in your lodge’s member count. Three auditors from three separate lodges will be appointed by the president to audit the district treasurer’s records, as well as the district youth club records prior to the business meeting. We will combine business with fun as there will be a silent auction, 50/50 prize drawing, guessing games, and a painted rock contest. Each lodge is asked to bring an item for the Silent auction. Business will include election of new officers. Current officers are wishing to “retire” and are hoping others will become more involved by serving as an officer. Be ready to nominate someone who is willing to serve and who is dedicated to maintaining the fraternal activities of SPJST. A meal with pork loin roast will be served by Lodge 48 following the close of the meeting. Cost is $3 per plate. What a bargain! We are hoping to see all lodges represented at the District Two meeting. Come and socialize with friends whom we have not seen in a year due to the Covid distancing. District Six has scheduled its annual meeting for Sunday, June 13, 2021. The meeting will be held at Camp Kubena in Ledbetter starting with a meal at noon. The pool will be open. Following the District Six business Meeting, an informational meeting will be held for convention delegates and guests.
