Gerlich Pursuing Studies In Rome, Italy
Another insurance workshop held February 17 in Brenham.
Insurance Seminar Held In District I SFM Gene McBride held workshops at New Tabor and Brenham along with District Director Andrew Vavra. There were 11 sales representatives in attendance at these workshops. We appreciate the efforts of these sales representatives and urge those who are not active to come join us.
It is the duty of the lodge and its members to support the sales representatives of your lodge, and help them secure new members in order to keep your lodge alive and growing. Please urge the sales representatives of your lodge to attend the insurance seminars so that they can better serve your membership.
Vicki Gerlich, member of Dallas Lodge 84, is spending this semester on the University of Dallas Rome Campus in Italy. The university offers sophomores and juniors the opportunity to spend a semester in Rome studying subjects such as Classic Literary Tradition, Roman Art and Architecture, Western Civilization, Western Theological Tradition, Philosophy of Man, Philosophy of Being and, of course, Elementary Italian. There will be a 10 - day trip to Greece, which Vicki will participate in as well as shorter trips to Venice and Florence. She will also have several opportunities to travel on her own, including a 10 - day break and several 3 - day weekends. Vicki says she plans to visit Czechoslovakia and England as well as places in between. Despite the 11 hours she will spend on planes and having to adjust to a 7 -

hour time change, Vicki says she's ready to go! Vicki is the daughter of Ben and Ellen Gerlich, all members of Lodge No. 84.
