Sidney Kacir Appointed Supreme Lodge Legal Adviser George Sidney Kacir, 51, was appointed to fill the unexpired term of the late Reuben B. Lesikar by the Supreme Lodge in their regular meeting Tuesday, October 13th. Bro.. Kacir is well acquainted with legal work for the SPJST, having been a law partner with Bro. Lesikar in the law firm of Lesikar, Kacir, Everton and Bradshaw. Bro. Kacir is a longtime member of Lodge 87 in Temple. He is an active member of that lodge and our members will also remember him as serving as parliamentarian for the past several conventions. Bro. Kacir was a pilot in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and is married to the former Dorothy Mae Wood. They have three children, namely, Donna Waskow, Linda Kacir, and Dan J. Kacir.

SPJST LODGE NO. 186, "CALDWELL" CALDWELL SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25TH, 1981 (Building located 8/10ths of a mile south of the intersection of Hwys. 36 & 21 on Hwy. 36, approximately 3 blocks after the first railroad underpass going south.) Meal served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; barbecue chicken with all the trimmings. Food available in the afternoon. Accordion music during the noon meal by Arthur Zarosky of Cameron.
Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Strnadel
Celebrants Honored On Anniversary Betty and Rudy Strnadel of Lodge No. 40, Hillje celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, October 4, 1981. Eight hundred people attended the dinner, reception and dance which was hosted by their seven children, twenty-two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren at the Knights of Columbus in El Campo; music was provided by the Ellinger Combo from Rudy's hometown. Mrs. Strnadel is the former Betty Baca of nearby Fayetteville, Texas. Rudy is a retired rice farmer and has been a Lodge No. 40 membe: since his teenage days. In fact as a teenager, he invested his first one hundred dollar savings as a loan to help build the old Hillje Hall at the urging of his father who was active
in founding the lodge. Rudy is president of the Czech Catholic Home for Aged at Hillje, Texas and has served in that capacity for 20 years. (Information and picture submitted by Sister Joann Schwartzkopf) ***
