DISTRICT V FALL MEETING Our fall meeting will be held at Lodge No. 88 Sunday, October 11. The officers of District V request that all of you good members try to come and bring another member. The host lodge will serve a delicious dinner of roast beef with all the trimmings beginning at 11:30 a.m. All kinds of home-made pastries will be avaba cnie. The Lodge 88 Concert Orchestra and Choral Club will entertain us before the meeting. The youth of the district will present a special program. There will be prizes given to the three lodges (excluding Lodge 88) that have the most members attending. There will also be a drawing for door prizes — at least five cash prizes of $5.00 each. A Free dance from 5 to 9 p.m. will follow the meeting. The Edna Polka Boys will be playing all your requests. Please mark your calendar for October 11 and come enjoy the day, while taking part in the business of your district. With good food, great entertainment, and chances to win prizes, how can you miss? MISS WESTFEST "81" During "Miss Westfest" competition, Betty Jean Pavlas was named the 1981 "Miss Westfest" Friday, September 4. She was selected from a field of eleven contestants, the largest in the pageant's three-year history. Her hobbies include volleyball, softball, attending polka dances, and listening to polka music. She is a member of the Centex Reseda dancers of Abbott, Texas. In March, 1981 Miss Pavlas won "Miss Personality" in the Cinderella Pageant held in West. Miss Pavlas is a West High School senior and was sponsored by West Affiliated Food Store. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Alvin F. Pavlas of Route One, West.
