Houston Couple Celebrates 60th Wedding Anniversary

Vlasta Ginzel Outlives Policy Sister Vlasta Ginzel of Caldwell attained the grand age of 96 Friday, May 8, 1981. She became the 53rd person in the history of the SPJST to outlive the actuarial table for her life insurance policy with the Society. Sunday, May 3, 1981, Sister Ginzel was honored during a special ceremony held by Lodge Novy Tabor No. 17 SPJST near Caldwell. The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of a special recognition certificate conferring upon her all benefits and privileges of an active member. The presentation was made by Supreme Lodge Secre-
tary-Treasurer Leonard D. Mikeska and District I Director, Ben Trcalek; also present at the ceremony were the officers of SPJST Lodge No. 17, Sister Ginzel's two sons, (Alvin and Leroy), and other relatives, friends, and members of SPJST Lodge No. 17. Adding to the occasion was a fine program presented especially for Sister Ginzel by 22 youth club members of the lodge. During the program, youth club member Michelle Surovik presented Sister Ginzel with a beautiful corsage. Sister Vlasta Ginzel was born near New Tabor May 8, 1885. November 20, 1907 she was married to William J. Ginzel. The young couple took up the occupation of farming and made their home in the (Continued on Page 8)

Frances Nemec Dvorak came to the United States from a small village in the province of Moravia in 1913. Frank Rudolph Dvorak, a native of Vienna, Austria arrived in the United States in 1910. They were married June 4, 1921, in Rosenberg, Texas, and a few months later moved to Houston where they have resided for the past 60 years. Their marriage produced two children.
