Brenham Member To Graduate From U.S. Naval Academy

Midshipman first class John C. Nowak is graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland on the 27th of May 1981. John, a member of Lodge 169, is the son of Lt. Colonel (USAF Retired) and Mrs. Leon J. Nowak of Brenham, Texas. Upon graduation John will be commissioned an Ensign in the US Navy and will be assigned to the USS Sylvania presently stationed in the Mediterranean Sea. The ever-increasing importance of our Navy in defense of this country and fulfillment of our national policy commitments has opened the way for an unprecedented number of
District II Sales Representatives' Appreciation Social Held at Lodge No. 24 Sales Representatives from District II were honored for their 1980 efforts in behalf of the SPJST on Saturday, March 28th. Awards were presented by Supreme Lodge Vice President Bernie Gebala and Director Henry Vitek to all SRs who produced business in 1980. The top producer in the District was Chester Shmoldas of Lodge No. 74, Lovelady. He was also runner-up
producer for the entire Society for 1980. After the supper hosted by Director Vitek and catered by Clem Mikeska of Temple was served and then awards were presented. All were invited to stay for the dance that evening. This was Lodge No. 24 show of appreciation to the sales representatives who are so important to our growth. —SPJST
