Brother Sid Pokiadnik, District III Director, along with his spouse, Sister Justine, served as hosts to a large group of sales representatives whoa were recognized for their faithful services at a banquet held March 15 at Dallas Lodge No. 84. Approximately seventy persons traveling from Arlington, Burleson, Dallas, Elk, Ennis, Fort Worth, Longview, Waco and West lodges were complimented by the SPJST for reaching their insurance sales quota in 1980; the total in insurance sold was $3,196,000. After a delicious meal, served by the B&L Catering Service, Brother Pokladnik recognized the ladies, Sister Bessie Petr and Sister Lillian Hamusek for preparing the food and then thanked the sales representatives with their spouses for being present. Afterwards Brother F'okladnik turned the program over to SL Vice President Bernie Gebala, who introduced the various committee chair-

men elected at the last convention; he praised all the SRs for their fine work and asked for their continued support of our two State Field Managers: Brothers Silas Smith and Gene McBride. Brother Gebala read each of the SRs' names, while Brother Pokladnik gave each one a gift from the Society; monetary gifts were also given to the most productive representatives for insurance written last year. The top sales representative's award was then presented to Brother Emil Petr of Lodge No. 84, by Brother Sid Pokiadnik. Brother Petr received a beautiful set of crystal/silver candleholders for writing $454,000 in 1980. We thoroughly enjoyed being at the banquet and congratulated District III for their surge in insurance sales. Good luck to all the SRs in District III and may 1981 prove to be just as rewarding, if not more, as the year before!
