Mrs. Helen Matocha of La Grange, who is a teacher at St. Michael School in Weimar, received special Recognition from La Grange Chamber of Commerce President Billy Peel at that organization's annual banquet recently. She had saved the life of a drowning youth last summer at the city swimming pool. Sister Matocha who received the award for "Most Outstanding Woman Award for 1980," is a member of SPJST Lodge No. 38 at Kovar and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. V. H. Barina also of the same lodge. She received her degree in Education from the University of Texas and has five children; three of whom are students at the university; two who took Czech for two years.
