PRESIDENT'S ANNUAL NEW YEAR'S WI' AND REPORT PART U Dear Members: In last weeks issue I brought you Part I of a two-part report, namely, that of my Observations and review of the last convention. In this Part II, I wish to bring you the additional and usual annual message and report of the President of the Supreme Lodge. This Is in addition to periodic reports in the Vestnik during the year. From all indications, the Year 1976 is going to be another good year for our Society — a record year exceeding all previous production and expectation& We have a total of 129 lodges with 52,000 'certificates in force. (The latter is a close estimate, since the final figure will not be known until some time in early 1977; the net figures should reflect a good gain). New Lodges. New lodges organized during 1976 included Lodge 180 "The Good Life" in Burleson on 4 April 1976 and chartered. 21 November 1976. Other lodges organized, but not yet chartered, include Lodge 185 "Hill Country" near New Braunfels, organized 14 May 1976. This lodge will be chartered the early part of 1977. Lodge No. 181 "Montgomery County" in Conroe, organized on 16 February

SL President Nick A. Morris 1975, has set its chartering ceremonies for Sunday, 20 February 1977. Lodge No. 188 "Deerest Lodge" in Centerville was organized on 22 November 1976 and they have set their official chartering for Sunday, 23 January 1977. Finally, Lodge 179 in Warrenton, organized on 3 September 1975, was officially chartered on 12 September 1976. Effective January 1st, it will be required that a lodge be chartered within 90 days of its organization (election of officers).

There are prospects of organiz- , ing additional new lodges at the present time and some of these might come into existence the very early part of 1977. (Before this report was dispatched to the editor, it was confirmed by Bros. Joe B. Hejny and Silas Smith that one of these lodges, No. 189, Bryan, has set their organizational meeting for sometime in January of this year.) The prospects also look good for at least two new lodge buildings in 1977. Lodges Disbanded. Lodge 118 in Kingsville disbanded during the year, with a big majority of the members transferring to Lodge 79 in Corpus Christi. Lodge 28 in Mart disbanded recently, with a big majority of the members transferring to Lodge 35 Elk. Lodge No. 2 in La Grange has all but disbanded, with most of the members transferring to Lodge No. 179 in Warrenton. Premium Refunds. Premium refunds to members for 1976 through December will amount to approximately $208,500. 8% Refund to Lodges. The 8% refund to lodges for 1976 through December, passed by the recent convention, will amount to approximately $115,000. Death Claims. A total of 358 death claims were paid through
