What an interesting year 2020 has been so far. It has truly been a transformational year where it has been proven that sometimes we have no control and the Universe will take over and guide us to stop in our tracks so the world can heal and we as individuals can decide how we want to live.

I have chosen some interesting authors for this volume of SHM. They all come from different backgrounds and have their own perspectives and stories about how they came to be. I hope through reading their articles that you too will be encouraged to discover more of who you are and what you want from your life.

Wendeya is a conduit of the Wild feminine. She is a retreat facilitator and space holder. She is the embodiment of the Serpent firebird. Her greatest excitement and gifts lie in developing fun, sensual, unique ways to reclaim lost and forgotten aspects of oneself, and bringing a union to the masculine, feminine.

She has developed exercises externally that mirror the inner journey to self. She is known for her Wild Woman retreats, and is passionate about bringing the “wild� psyche of the feminine out of suppression and bringing it into liberation for herself and others. She has been in the healing arts for the last 10 (earth) years and is familiar with what it takes to cause a lasting change in the body, spirit, mind, and subconscious. For each retreat, gathering, or workshop she has meticulously created particular rituals and initiations, to penetrate on the deepest levels. She speaks the language of spirit allowing her to witness the symbolism and patterns that they use to speak, and translates that into an experience that is deeply powerful. Using her gifts she is able to access to the Akashic records, and takes you to places familiar yet forgotten, expanding the portal to the multidimensional you.

Wendeya, has mastered and teaches Theta healing, she is a QHHT practitioner, and has trained in many other Energy medicine modalities. She has developed her own modality called; ThetaHeart healing, which she practices and teaches to others. The secret lies in the greatest love story that ever was, and the perhaps the purpose of all existence, and the propulsion behind every urge you have ever had .I’m going to tell you this secret in a

Daksha humbly agrees, and Sati is born in his household.

story you might have heard, or might sound similar to many stories you have heard. For this secret is not really a secret at all, but has been told to you many times over and over in ancient text, myths and symbols. For many seers have known this but like myself have found it difficult to convey to understanding. Where these stories have guided small groups of initiates who have walked the path of enlightenment it is now time for the earth collective at large to make the journey together. This is the story of Shiva and Shakti.

There are many variations of this story, with different names yet they all tell of the same tale, and speak of the same symbolic journey… I will give a short synopsis of the stories.

Shiva, (the masculine presence) lord who has no lord, because ultimately he is consciousness itself, the infinite intelligence in which everything takes form. The freest of free beings, the ultimate detached one, when left to himself Shiva never gets entangled with the chaos of ordinary life, he distains the idea that their might be some reason to enter the manifest world. Like a hermit in a cave he needs the feminine to bring him down to earth, even to allow him to act and give blessings. When the great Goddess who creates the world, then lives as the world, is asked to incarnate as sati, she who is. (Shakti, the divine feminine essence) In order to make the sacred marriage with her eternal consort Shiva. For without her presence. Shiva cannot act in the world, he sits on a mountain lost in meditation. This creates havoc in the cosmos, so the great deities approach the Goddess on their knees, they beg her for the sake of the world, to take the form of a woman and lure Shiva out of his yogic trance. Daksha, an elemental diety will be her father, the

At the age of sixteen she marries Shiva, drawing him out of meditation, by the allure of her irresistible beauty, and her power of creating bliss. Shiva, the lord of thieves as well as yogis, is the original shaman, as well as the primal yogi. He resides in the deep forests and mountains, he refuses to change his homeless lifestyle just because he has a wife, so for eons, Shiva and Sati make passionate love under trees and besides streams in subtle realms beyond the clouds and in secret mountain caves. They adore each other with cosmic passion. Then the trouble starts, a few thousand millennia have passed, Daksha has worked his way into a position of power, he is the leading deity in religious orthodoxy. In the process he has forgotten his promise to the Goddess, and has forgotten his daughter’s real nature. He disapproves of Shiva’s rebel status, and feels personally threatened by Shiva’s obvious distain for convention. Daksha plans a huge fire ritual that will establish for all time the religious structure of the universe. He invites every god, but in a fit of celestial malice Daksha deliberately sends no invitation to his daughter or her consort. Sati hears the news on the day of the sacrifice, she is stunned beyond measure. Daksha has done the unthinkable. Not only has he grievously insulted her beloved, He has dishonored the world mother. The power of life itself. Without her, religion is meaningless. Sati knows she cannot live in a world that does not recognize her.

She sits in meditation, and summons her inner yogic fire, and sends her life force into the either, leaving her body behind. Shiva goes mad when he finds her. He takes himself to the ritual ground and annihilates the sacrifice, he then takes sati’s body in his arms and

begins to move through the world, wherever he carries her body earthquakes and volcanos, tidal waves and forest fires erupt. At last the gods do the only thing they can do to save the universe they send the great wonderer Saturn to cut sati’s body into pieces.

As the parts of her body fall to earth they become physical pockets of sacred ecstasy, and earth shrines. For eons in hidden caves and besides trees, near bodies of water and in the heart of villages, people will find the goddess enshrined in the soil and rock itself.

Her body is the sacrifice that infuses the divine feminine into the earth. Sati knew that without the world recognizing and honoring the power of the feminine , true union of the masculine and feminine would not be possible. So she left.

Shiva now without a divine consort to draw his presence to physical matter, retreats into a deep meditation tuning out the world. The creator God looks around the cosmos one day, and realizes that Shiva, the third member of the cosmic rulers is not playing his part in the cosmic drama. Shiva is supposed to be functioning as the great cosmic witness of earth, instead he has dissolved himself in meditation. He is so immersed in the stillness of the void, revelling in his absolute freedom, that he is utterly unconcerned with the affairs of the cosmos. The cosmic centuries roll on and Shiva never opens his eyes, the gods realize that something has to be done to reemerge Shiva in the world play. For one thing a demon was taking over critical zones, and Shiva was needed to engage him. What woman could tempt the great yogi? The creator Gods enlist the Goddess Maya herself, the enchantress, the allurer, the divine feminine force, who’s erotic power is at the very heart of embodiment. Only the cosmic power of Allurement herself could possibly find her way through the barriers of Shiva’s unbreakable meditation, and draw him back into the game. The creator God takes himself to the top of the mountain, and for 30 thousand years he sings her praises to the four corners of the universe. He

invokes her, she who’s body is both the tangibility of the world and the super sensual subtle material of the heavens and hells. She is the union of opposites. At last the Goddess appears, she is in her dark form.

Seated on her lion, with the full power of allurement. Her voice is like thunder, he explains that Shiva has lost himself in mediation, and without his involvement the world can not go on. The goddess smiles, and tells him she will take form as a human woman. The goddess is born, she grows up with eyes like lotus buds, and Shiva in her heart, by the time she is fourteen, she visits him in his meditation grove, bringing him flowers and often sitting for hours, ecstatic just to stare at him. Shiva, gives no attention to her. She realizes Shiva has been touched by her, but he is not willing to give into his desire. She goes to the forest stands on one leg and repeats

the name of Shiva, until he will come to her. She realized she can’t have Shiva, until she generates the qualities of stamina, devotion and stillness. She stands in the icy stream for months perhaps years. eventually the fire of her yoga begins to penetrate the upper worlds, Shiva can feel the heat. In his meditation he senses the unwavering devotion of this young woman. He remembers her beauty and his own response to it. He remembers the bliss he felt with his divine consort, and recognizes that though solitary mediation has its own joy, there is something about relationship

that brings fuller completeness. Shiva awakens from his deep meditation, and dances in passionate love with her for eons How does this story convey the Secret of the universe? It speaks of life beyond the hero’s Journey, the ever after. Like many eastern philosophies, the goal is to separate spirit from its entanglements, and reach a state of the unattached observer, a destination. This speaks of the bliss in a united dance that goes on for eons. Separated lovers, the soul and the supreme soul, consciousness and matter, spirituality and sexuality, the body and the spirit, who find the path back to each other. It speaks of the divine sacred marriage with in.

It portrays the dynamic forces of nature within us all. It tells of the love story happening all around us and inside of us.

Most importantly to me, it is a call for Shiva’s descent. His descent all the way down to our root, his penetration in each cell. it teaches of the ancient art of Tantra.

12 When the divine feminine left this world, symbolically our Shakti, life force energy was locked at the base of our spine, paralleling the outward drama between the masculine and feminine. As a collective we have been focused on raising our kundalini like Shakti who stood In the freezing cold river for eons, we have done the work. We are been focused on ascension. And lots of us have done it. Shakti is ready to act fully in the world. We have met Shiva, our god consciousness, they have united and made love and we came to the realization that we are God. But that is only half of the love story, the beginning, the coming together. It is only a taste of the merging to come. Like in most movies and stories we just see the beginning, the attraction, and pull, that it takes to bring two forces together. The second part of the journey I find is rarely portrayed.

It is the full embodiment of Shiva. That means bringing our bodies to the stature of of our consciousness.

That means now Shiva descends, and brings his enlightening presence into our body all the way down to the root.

This story isn’t portrayed much because it can look like walking through hell to get to heaven, traversing through all of the shame, guilt, and pain that we carry and being with it, consciously sitting in the shit. It looks like healing the masculine, so you can be fully penetrated. It is mending the feminine wound to allow her full alluring essence to run though you. Bringing consciousness all the way down to the

Born 7 January 1950 to an Anglophone middle-class Chinese family in post-war Malaya, I was given a name that meant Fragrant Hero. At 19 I miraculously survived a motorcycle accident, and shortly after that became an entirely different person. My parents believed I had gone mad and admitted me to an insane asylum.

What actually happened was that my kundalini spontaneously activated and I began to “wake up.� Or perhaps this was a walkin arrangement wherein my physical body was handed over to a Master Soul who took control of my destiny, guiding me on an extraordinary lifepath I never could have imagined as a child.

At 42, inspired by starpriestess and 11:11 visionary Solara, I took on the name ANTARES and relocated from the city to a forested river valley where I became the Ceremonial Guardian of Magick River, focusing my attention on completely reintegrating the fragments of my Greater Being and attuning to the Heartbeat of the Awakening Goddess Gaia-Sophia. I have since begun facilitating occasional masterclasses to assist others in realigning with their Core Essence and reclaiming their True Destiny as Conscious Fractals of the Whole. In 2010 I accepted the honorific MAITREYA, after a resurrection experience.

GOD, SEX & THE TAO IMAGINE MY SHOCK when I discovered, at 19, that I was God. It was confusing, to say the least. Outwardly I looked the same as I always did – but inwardly I was seeing everything through different eyes. I realized that I existed in all things as sub-atomic awareness. Everyday “inanimate” objects came alive as mineral or

vivid remembrance of having always existed in a world without beginning and without end. And yet, in my interactions with people around me (parents, friends, strangers) who saw only my physical form - and who insisted on relating to me as a 2-dimensional social ego, devoid of mystery and existential depth – I became aware that I could easily slip back into the rôle I had played up till now, as a human being transiting between adolescence and adulthood.

When I turned my eyes skyward to admire the stars and planets, I was conscious that what I was seeing was actually an externalization, a holographic projection of the awesome beauty and mystery of my own being. When I later stumbled on an exclamation attributed to Pythagoras (“Astonishing! Everything is intelligent!”), I understood

perfectly what he meant.

Everyone I saw around me was essentially an aspect of my extended Self – not my superficial Ego but my Core Self. The astounding diversity and ingenuity of my multitudinous permutations of form and function inspired deep awe and reverence. The ineffably sublime, the absurdly ridiculous, the ultramicroscopic, the supertelescopic, the metagalactic, and the paracosmic. All of it was me.

This mystical initiation made it impossible for me to ever again subscribe to anthropocentrism (which the dictionary defines as “interpreting reality exclusively in terms of human values and experience”). Inevitably, the use of alphanumeric symbols and language has led us to a male-dominated evolutionary dead-end – one in which we destroy everything beautiful and natural around us in our psychopathological pursuit of illusory power.

Only much later did I learn that what I had experienced was the death of my social ego, my persona. In its place arose a transcendental identity (which some call Paramatman), reconnecting me with a

– Timothy Leary It was a truly instructive period in my early life, and in those 3 months I learned far more than I could possibly have, had I spent 3 years in some university. The physical world around us, I discovered, is akin to a grand illusion maintained by consensus – by the acquiescence of millions of humans hardwired to believe that their everyday lives are the only empirical reality, and that the realms of the divine, as well as the diabolical, exist somewhere else (if at all) and not within our own minds.

I began to notice that the spark of divinity – and its shadow aspect or terrible twin – remains dormant in most humans until activated by some powerful experience. However, few have the necessary attention span or focus to nurture and fully integrate it. So our intimations of divine or diabolical consciousness are usually evanescent, fading from memory the moment we snap back into mundane awareness. That’s when God (as well the

Devil) are banished to the mythic realms, as mere superstitions or external, unseen forces – where they can be invoked by predatory priesthoods as a means of behavior modification through religious indoctrination.

Celibacy and abstinence from sensual pleasures have long been considered prerequisites of the spiritual path. Sex and God have been made into seemingly antagonistic and antonymous concepts. Adam and Eve’s fall from grace and banishment from Eden are euphemistically attributed to their disobedience when they tasted the Forbidden Fruit, against God’s specific instruction. A closer reading reveals that the real issue was their discovery of the pleasures of recreational sex.

Well, that’s the Old Testament God for you. A judgmental, punitive, authoritarian male despot who views pleasure as sin, and pain as virtue; who sees wise women as witches and beautiful ones as temptresses. An angry, warlike, almighty tyrant who demands absolute loyalty and blood sacrifice.

Who loves all creatures great and small – yet consigns some to eternal perdition and neverending torment.

Was this really an aspect of my Godself? I was prompted to do a little research on the God of Abraham, variously known as Yahweh, IHVH, Jehovah, Ialdabaoth, Zeus, Deus, Jove, Eli, and later Allah. The Hebrew version of the Old Testament, I discovered, was a paraphrase and summary of a much earlier, far more detailed scripture from Sumerian times, called Enuma Elish (When the Gods Walked the Earth).

In Hebrew the word God appears as Adonai (Lord) and sometimes Elohim – a plural reference to godlike entities involved in designing ecosystems and cultivating intelligent life within the galaxy, and perhaps beyond. Mystical literature (e.g., The Urantia Book and J.J. Hurtak’s Keys of Enoch) describes the Elohim as “Paradise Sons of God.”

20 As I pondered this I had a vision of a primal supernova emanating rays of energy and consciousness in all directions.

Alone instead of All One Each ray acquired individuality as it separated from its Source and had the potential to become a new star and condense into a multitude of planetary systems. I experimented with altering the spelling of Son to Sun – and it made even more sense. I was reminded of the rainbow effect of passing a beam of light through a prism. This is how One becomes Many.

Along with individuality came the potential to disconnect and disengage from everything beyond our ego fields, thereby reinforcing the illusion of separateness. Unplugged from the morphogenetic field or collective mind, it was easy for us to feel more and more isolated – alone instead of All One - to the extent that we no longer remembered where we originated, the source

Meanwhile back in the realm of mythology, I found mytheology of our being. Eventually we even began doubting if something called Source existed.

To assuage the terrifying sense of eternal solitude, we began an internal dialog with ourselves, and eventually split into bi-polarity – one pole taking on the Yin or Feminine aspect, the other the Yang or Masculine aspect. Thus was formed the electromagnetic

So where does that leave the jealous, vengeful, punitive God of Abraham? It turns out that Yahweh (whose name in Hebrew is spelt IHVH) is by no means the Supreme Being or Prime Creator. In fact, IHVH is a collective of Archons inhabiting the Material Universe (or at least the other planets in our Solar System, according to Gnostic teacher John Lamb Lash).

In the state of polarized consciousness we learnt to individualize as egos, and then specialize – just as atoms become different components of the anatomy as they form dense electromagnetic

fields which gain mass and become molecules, then cells.

Evolution is driven by cell permutation and diversification, as differences get emphasized over similarities. Variations on a theme begin to occur and recur, according to synergetic-energeticgeometric principles that govern the manifestation of physical form. We have only recently begun to recognize and identify these universal principles or mathematical laws of form. The golden or phi ratio rediscovered by early scientist-mystics like Pythagoras is what inspired a gifted 12th century Italian mathematician named Fibonacci to realize that all growth proceeds spirally in accordance with a predictable numerical sequence: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34… the next number being 55, the sum of the two preceding it, and so on… to infinity!

Through an understanding of hidden structures gained by a close study of fractal geometry, cutting-edge thinkers have been repairing the broken link between female and male brains, between intuition and intellect, between mystical experience and the scientific method.

Archon is the Greek word for lord, judge, or ruler. In short, external authority. From the Gnostic perspective, the Archons are really just a freakish species of Mind Parasite that preys on organic lifeforms through “neurological hacks,” manipulating our perception of reality through fear, thereby thwarting our evolutionary potential and hijacking our true destiny as autonomous aspects of Divine Intelligence.

22 The Greeks, particularly the Platonists, called the Archons demiurges and named Ialdabaoth as the young demiurge associated with Gaia or Earth. Some Gnostic scholars attribute the formation and seeding of the physical world to Ialdabaoth – and believe it was Ialdabaoth who expelled Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden. (John Lash has a very different and far more intriguing interpretation of the Gnostic creation myth, too complex to discuss here, which he eruditely expounds in his seminal 2006 work, Not In His Image). Alas, this happens to be the monolithic image of God imprinted within the deep psyche of those who subscribe to the Abrahamic Agenda.

So when I broke free of my social ego and reconnected with extradimensional aspects of my Self, I spontaneously regained access to data from well beyond the Null Zone - where information flow is closely monitored and controlled by human agents of the Archons, to keep subscribers addicted to and imprisoned within the recycled ego-reinforcing melodramas they experience as their everyday lives. That’s right, folks, we’re talking about The Matrix.

Liberated from layers of old programming, I became the Metaprogram, and then the Metaprogrammer or Architect. I could have stopped there and ended up trapped in the realm of Mind in a holographic labyrinth. But my physical atoms, the wisdom of my cellular being, became animated with the remembrance of Sophia, my cosmic mother, who joyfully took me back into her arms and proclaimed me beautiful and true – not only as a soul, but also as a physical body.

Gods, like everyone else, experience infancy, adolescence, and maturity. In view of this, it is apparent that the psychic oppression of religious dogma is really just a problem of humans with domineering mothers who haven’t outgrown their belief in a childish, insecure, ill-tempered deity who is prone to approve of some things, and disapprove of others.

Experience becomes Knowledge (or Gnosis) as maturity sets in and ultimately blossoms into Wisdom Those who imagine God as an omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent father figure tend to associate sex with deeply-ingrained guilt

wherein sex becomes confused with power - with dominance and submission, conquest and colonization, rape and pillage, with the exploitation and enslavement of women and children.

By distorting and perverting our understanding of sexuality, stripping it of its sacred dimensions, power-hungry predator priesthoods have been able to maintain a deadly stranglehold on human consciousness, keeping it confined within a prison built of psychological and emotional blocks, with invisible bars of erroneous belief and fake morality.

Judaism, Christianity, and Islam emphatically preach that “illicit sex” is a damnable offence in the eyes of God. The taboo against recreational (as opposed to procreational) sex has spawned widespread neuroses and psychoses and perpetuated a culture of false piety and hypocrisy. Sex has been the subject of countless off-color jokes and the ruin of many careers, especially among politicians

How many generations of humans have been bludgeoned into submission to external authority with the evil teaching that pleasure is sinful - and that the wages of sin is death without hope of resurrection or salvation? Spiritual pilgrims of all faiths have been misled into renouncing sex if they desire union with God - their own Core Self. Others are promised unbridled sexual pleasure should they willingly martyr themselves in the name of Allah.

The suppression of sexuality has, in fact, only served to turn it into an obsession, giving rise to aberrant attitudes toward pleasure

I consider myself entirely fortunate that I have never, even for a fleeting moment, experienced sexual guilt. Even as a child beginning to explore the secret pleasures of autoeroticism, it was a sense of excitement and wonder I felt, never shame.

Instinctively, I knew the social taboo against sex was diabolically

open, tingling with vitality, blissfully merging with another warm, quivering, welcoming field – becoming one again and whole, and therefore holy. That’s the foretaste of paradise that lures us back into the beauty and truth of wholly conscious physical embodiment.

Godly sex as sexy gods and goddesses – that’s the path to balance, health, sanity, and integrity The duality of Good Gods versus Evil Gods is finally reconciled when we see the evil in good and the good in evil – just like the Yin-Yang. Bringing focused attention to the joy of the moment, holding back nothing, dark secrets transmuted to selfaware humor, turning the static to ecstatic, dynamic, harmonic equilibrium. Amazed and amused by the miracle of our limited physical vehicles in the limitless context of the metaphysical, easing comfortably into our beautiful bodies and activating them with tender kisses and caresses, we go beyond confusion to fusion. No longer alone but All One again.

Indeed, the awakened kundalini unleashes the creative urge when it isn’t channeled towards procreation.

And this is where the Tao comes in The first line of the first verse in the Tao Te Ching states: “The Absolute Tao cannot be named.” It is ineffable, beyond concepts or words, beginningless and endless, nothing and everything, the Great Void or Primordial Chaos from which all formal existence issues. The Tao is a field of infinite potentiality beyond life and death, being and non-being. It cannot be seen but can be felt; cannot be dissected or discussed – but it can be embraced, enjoyed and celebrated.

The Tao is the silent backdrop against which all cosmic dramas are enacted. Our stories – and we are all stories – unfold in a many-storied universe that resembles a gigantic server farm where individual as well as collective memories are stored. It works along the lines of social networking sites like Facebook

and Twitter: each entity is free to create an account, present a public profile, share photos, videos, opinions, interests, discuss current affairs or philosophy, play trivial games or build virtual communities, trawl pixel oceans for food or sex, interact with many or just a few.

Each timeline becomes an expression of the individual who has the ability to post and delete, expose or hide; the timeline documents the journey of each user through time and space. There is a delicate balance between anarchistic freedom and authoritarian control – a constant push-and-pull between users and shareholders, between follower and followed, between private and public, between active and passive involvement.

certainly have unsurpassable amount of karma to be introduced to the name of Sakyamuni Buddha or as you may know him as ‘Buddha’. I was sent to Buddhist Sunday school from the age of 7 but my main motivation for waking up at 7:30am on Sundays was mainly for a delicious breakfast of traditional Malaysian delicacies at a hawker stall next to the monastery (BMV – Buddhist Maha Vihara) where the Sunday school building was.

When I was 9, I can’t recall exactly why but I stopped going to Sunday school. According to my mother, I refused to go and preferred to stay home like most children and watch Batman on Sunday morning cartoon channels instead. Our human mind will always be looking for alternatives when we are exposed to the same stimuli too often, cartoons and food over spiritual teachings in my case.

In the year 2004, When I was 16 my parents asked me to sign up for a 15 day novice monkhood programme at the BMV. I don’t really know why, as they knew I wasn’t keen at all. I didn’t even like going to temples anymore, let alone being a monk for 15 long days without all the luxuries of my own bedroom and my general freedom. After much persuasion and promises, such as a new mobile phone; they even told me that I would collect good karmic points for good exam results

and well it worked as I eventually agreed and signed up. What could the harm be?

When I went on this programme where I met Bhante Mahinda, one of the most respected and senior Malaysian monks of the Theravada Buddhist tradition. I felt as if I had met Bhante Mahinda before, he was familiar to me in a very deep way. I found myself paying extra attention to his Dharma lectures, whereas I would be distracted and counting down the minutes for lectures conducted by other monks.

During one of many Bhante’s lecture, he taught us to reflect on our life on a day to day living. The moment we wake up, that is birth. As the day goes, we are ageing, until the end of the day where we feel low in energy, that is similar to sickness, and by the

time we retire to sleep for the day, we imagine ourselves dying – observe what comes to our mind – disappointment on the past?

Contentment? Joyfulness from performing virtuous action? Guilt from performing non-virtuous actions? Many years later I realize this mind training method was used mainly in the Tibetan school of Buddhism to prepare for death.

At the end of the 15 days programme, when It came to disrobing ceremony, I had felt something shift. I was so emotional and could not stop crying. I found it difficult to return my robe, but I was also relieved to resume my life at home. One of the biggest and most impactful lesson I took away at the end of my novice monkhood was about birth, old age, sickness and finally death – the 4 characteristics of life that drove Siddharta Gautama to realize the 4 nobles truth – the core teachings of every buddhist school. I was no longer afraid of death as much as before.

Since then, I would always try to attend public lectures given by Bhante Mahinda whenever he was in the country. I also started practicing

encouraged to practice this simple meditation daily during our 15 days programme. I tried to meditate on metta every night before going to sleep. But I don’t recall it being very sustainable, there were days when I was upset, I would refuse to meditate, and the flow just breaks there going back to old habits. In 2005, I started attending Sunday school again, that Sunday school was under the umbrella of a buddhist society founded by a young brilliant scholar who was below 40 years old at that time. A guy with great charisma, he was teaching meditation and sutra classes, but I did

from who I really am. On another, more human note, I was also experiencing raging hormones and thought that working in the gym environment allows me more contact with attractive women. I was a young man after all. I was ethical with my approach to women, that it must be free from manipulation, lies, blackmailing and sexual misconduct with any female who already has a partner. This is one of the 5 precepts I hold on to from my Buddhist training. To please my parents, I eventually enrolled into a Psychology major degree programme that I completed in 2012.

suddenly could read minds! but later I realised that this was a side effect from my meditation. I started to feel what others are feeling, absorbing their energy and vibes, a general knowing. I kept having one experience after another, I felt a lot of discomfort especially dealing with people who went through major experiences such as having an abortion. I seek guidance from my Sunday school leader since he was teaching us meditation, but I was told that It was nothing more than my imagination despite sharing with him my experience about my internship counselling sessions.. Lucky guess I was told – and that the mind has its own bias of finding ways to support what it likes. Fine. I left it as it is even though I know this wasn’t my truth.

After completing my Diploma in Social Science majoring in Counselling in 2008, I realized I did not want to further my education, in the same year I got myself certified as a personal trainer. I started coaching people in the gym and running fitness training programmes. It took me many years to realize that I was so uncomfortable with my ability to read minds and as an empath that I subconsciously chose a different pat so I could “run away”

The following year, in 2010, I was assigned by Bhante Mahinda to a photography assignment at India and Nepal for 1 month in total.

After this assignment ended, I lost interest in photography and sold all my photography gears. I realize as a photographer, I was constantly on the look, projecting the mind to look for good subject

In 2015, right after a trip to Nepal where I took up 5 days novice monkhood under the Tibetan tradition I started a business with this girl. By now, I’ve experienced the Theravada and Tibetan Buddhist tradition of novice monkhood training. However, being swiped by the wave of greed, all I did after that was focusing on growing the business with my then girlfriend. We were millionaires within 18

months into the business. I was very uncomfortable running the business for some reasons. It just did not resonate with me. We were in the healthcare business and charging people fees without consideration for the less fortunate, however I wasn’t in position to make an absolute change to that. Our relationship took a toll because of different views in life and business, and by 2018, I made a conscious decision that I will leave the relationship and business based on a fair share of asset distribution. I was told to process whatever necessary claims the company owed me; however, I was given a payoff amount that I felt was unfair.

As a signatory of the company, and sole signature was allowed in our cheque signing, I processed my claims amounting to a few hundred thousand . Everything was transparent and was reported to our hired accountant and auditor. Unfortunately, a police report was made against me of criminal breach of trust. I was sold out.

However, after investigating the police was quick to classify my case a No Further Action. Since there was no chance for police action against me, my ex-girlfriend filed this case into the civil court. She hired one of the best well known lawyers in the country

Coincidentally, when all this drama was unfolding, Bhante Mahinda was in Malaysia. I went to seek his advice. After explaining my situation to Bhante he paused a little before answering me and said “whatever is unfolding now, is not without a cause and condition”.

“You may not have cheated this life, but you never know what you have done in the many rebirths you’ve experienced” “Therefore, for this to happen, there must have been a karmic link”. I felt like a big boulder was lifted off my shoulders and I stared crying when Bhante uttered these words. It made me recall, during one of my past life regression sessions that I saw myself as a soldier in an army and I access to the queen. We were committing adultery in that lifetime. I was then sent for a certain mission by the queen that I failed, and I was captured as prisoner of war whom later died in a dungeon. Looking back at the whole business setup, I was the person strategizing and executing majority of the necessary task to grow the company, while she took all the credit in public’s perception.

Looking back at the regression, there was similarity in that life time and now. I understood what my karma was.

Bhante Mahinda reminded me of the Dharma’s way. Do I want to bear all the anger and continue fighting in court, or do I want to work on forgiveness? I started shedding more tears and I felt so in peace. At this point I was able to make a conscious decision that I will not fight the case and relinquish my share without taking a single cent. Bhante Mahinda expressed his wish of ordaining 5 novice monks for the traditional 3 months rains retreat season. They had 4 and I made up for the last one. Before my case management date was set at court, I was ordained as a novice monk. I went to court for case management once and everything was settled out of court that day. My lawyer managed to negotiate that I keep the money

that was owed to me to cover my claims instead of relinquishing everything. I went on to be a novice monk for 5 months in total, extending additional 2 months after the rain retreats ended. I had the intention of being a novice monk for 3 years, followed by being a fully ordained Bhikkhu thereafter. However on the 5 months, I started falling sick and my blood pressure was erratically high.

The moment I disrobed, my blood pressure went back to normal.

During the 5 months living in the monastery, I reconnected with myself after being in what I would call a traumatic circumstances for 3 years running a business that was not resonating with me.

It was like a grounding period for me where I started my regular meditation again and went back to my truth. I still feel occasional anger arising when I recall how I was being sold out, but that is part and parcel as long as we are dancing in samsara. I get asked often; what’s the point of performing pujas/prayers and meditation when you end up losing everything? Where is the protection from your meditational deity?

Sakyamuni Buddha taught; not to slander when slandered, not to respond to harsh words with more harsh words, not to beat others when beaten. What more could I ask for when my Mind is protected away from the 3 poisons of Greed, Hatred and Delusion.

The question is, are you motivated to be like them? Are you signing up for their recipe, hoping to have a life like theirs? Or are you following them because they support your emergence your own way? Do they help activate your inner Guru?

Yes, it can be seductive. Other people’s methods can work for a while. Believe me, I tried with bucket-loads of ‘success’, yet I was still left knowing – this is not ‘it’. My most precious gift landed in my lap in 2005, when I stumbled across a map that gave me my own unique, completely distinguishable way of being, that could never have come from trying to be like someone else.

This Map called my BodyGraph, gave me a way of making decisions that allowed me, step by step to discover my life.

That system supported me in becoming unlike anyone else. It’s called Human Design. I fell in love with the truth of this system.

I learned to make decisions as I am designed to be, free of my mind’s conditioned ways. Liberation! Suddenly I had a map to navigate towards true self-love. Not the self-love of trying hard to be good, to be worthy, but the self- love of discovering an inner relationship with a sense of surprise and awe I‘d not found until then.

The theory goes like this - when we experience our trueSelf as we are designed to be, we start to love ourSELF. We take our place in the world. This is how we become one as a people.

The vision is one holistic aura of humanity made up of 7 billion healthy cells, each with its own unique role and trajectory in

life, together creating a coherent whole, resonating to self-Love.

And none of us can get there by being like someone else. My place stood empty while I was mis-located and dislocated.

For nearly 15 years I’ve been navigating my life using this map, discovering what it is to be me in the world. This experiment has become my passion and my work, helping people find and listen to their own inner guidance, inner Authority, ‘Inner guru’. I don’t want you to be like me. My spot is taken and perhaps yours is waiting?

The Beauty of Body Wisdom Each person’s Inner Authority is body-based and for me this was so freeing! No longer did I have to concern myself with what my mind thinks, in order to make a decision. This is quite a concept.

I realized how influenced my mind is. It also had a tendency to be distracted from what was happening right now, being so busy trying to organise and decide my life. I was constantly either planning and thinking about what hadn’t happened yet or worrying about and pondering what was past.

Knowing specifically which body signals to listen to, has relaxed my mind. There are 7 different ‘authorities’ and knowing yours is key to unlocking your correct energy flow, timing potential wellbeing and purpose.

In the spiritual world we’re often told to listen to our hearts, yet this is the inner authority for less than 1% of the population! For example, the majority of people have a centre of growing awareness in their solar plexus. For around 50% of the population this is the place of navigation and it needs time to bring its awareness forward, as this is the spirit consciousness of the next level of human evolution and is still evolving. If this is your authority, the competing messaging from the heart and gut can wreak havoc if you allow them to make your decisions for you.

Human Design is a language and a Professional Reading is ideally transmitted audibly, rather than in writing. My name is Moana Lousi, Māori healer and founder of Manaaki Therapies.

I am a tauira (student), kaiako (teacher), and practitioner of Rongoā Māori, a traditional form of Māori healing. I run a small homebased clinic in the Waikato offering mirimiri (massage), romiromi (deep tissue manipulation) rongoā rākau (plant medicine) and karakia (prayer). As part of my practice, I also run workshops, hold healing clinics and visit schools and organisations where I share the wonderful teachings of Rongoā Māori.

I am an indigenous practitioner of Māori healing and hail from Aotearoa (New Zealand). I practise and teach the art of mirimiri (massage), romiromi (manipulation of deep tissues) and rongoā rākau (plant medicine) and am currently studying a degree in Master of Applied Indigenous Knowledge.

I was introduced to the realm of Māori healing by my brother, Nephi, who trained under master healer and tohunga Hohepa Delamere (Papa Joe). I remember my sharing korero (stories) of the other worldly experiences he had with Papa Joe and his students. The korero seemed far-fetched, but somehow familiar to me. I wondered, were they familiar because I was listening to korero from so called myths and legends taught at school, or were these things really happening in the here and

now? These stories were not familiar because of the myths and legends of old, they were familiar because my father shared stories of similar experiences, stories of, of having visits from tupuna (ancestors) who had passed away and of astro-travelling to the moon or to the other side of the world to check on our sister in Hong Kong. Just as I loved listening to my father share korero of his experiences, I loved listening to my brother and the korero he shared of his time with Papa Joe. Nephi often invited me to the wānanga but with five young children and studying part time, the time was not right. Sadly, for me, by the time I decided I was ready, Papa Joe had passed away and the opportunity was lost.

My journey in learning Māori healing was long and slow.

In 2011 I approached Atarangi Muru, world renowned Māori healer and co-founder of Maorihealers.com. I asked if I could attend her clinics so I could learn alongside her and she agreed. I travelled to Auckland to her clinic in Henderson where I attended my first clinic. The things I observed and learned that day are still very fresh in my memory, she was an amazing healer who worked gently yet confidently. At the end of the day, she left me with instructions to take what I had learned and work on one hundred people. When I’ve completed that, then I was to go back to receive more instruction. Her reasoning for these instructions was, by the time I’ve worked on thirty, I will notice differences in the texture of the skin, temperature changes in different areas of the body and physical observations. By the time I’ve worked on sixty, I’ll notice smells being released from the body, or I’ll be aware of tastes on my tongue. By the time I’ve worked on ninety I’ll be more attuned to things the average person cannot see or hear or feel. I was excited to learn, but it took me just over a year to complete. Since then I’ve reconnected with Atarangi each year, attended wānanga she’s held and hosted her and her team of Māori healers here in the Waikato. It is my hope to follow in her footsteps, to travel the world sharing our traditional practises and to exchange with other indigenous cultures. To date I have had the opportunity to sit with Noongar elders from the aboriginal community in Medina, Perth, an elder in Narrogin, WA, and an aunty in Tonga who both practise bush medicine. I’ve also been fortunate enough to have worked with many scholars from indigenous cultures throughout the world. Having worked with scholars, I realised how essential it was for me to study at a scholarly level for me to move through the spiritual and scholarly realms unhindered. As I study, I find I’m being challenged to question everything I do, why I think the way I do, everything, and in doing so I am becoming much clearer about who I am, and the practitioner I want to be.

Unlike college where you sign up for specific instruction, learning traditional healing practices often means having to find a kaiako (teacher) who is willing to share their mātauranga (knowledge).

living, who were living with and re-evaluate the busy-ness we had created for ourselves through what we call the ego- self. Wanting to travel overseas, have jobs with fancy titles, start businesses to make money.

When the world stopped we found out what was distracting us and what was giving us purpose, passion and fulfilment.

I found a peace within myself that I perhaps feared wasn’t there. I realised that I really wanted.

This time of lockdown, was the first time the whole world had experienced something together. Forced to be at home, stopping our usual routines and social outings to leave it in the hands of fate and the leaders of our countries to make decisions for the greatest good . We may think we were asked to stay at home to save lives, yes this is the physical reason but what was truly being asked of our souls?

Acceptance comes to mind, we were to accept and surrender to what was happening. We were being asked to see our souls in its primordial state without all the things that we would normally fill our lives up with.

What did you discover during this time? Many of our egos were asked to be set aside as businesses closed and many having to figure out how to start again and be resourceful for things we once took for granted. Food, money, time, travel and each other. It all stopped when the world stopped.

Our free will now gives us the opportunity to change for the better, to create the lives we want but sustainably for ourselves and for the planet.

We leave a lasting legacy of who we are, not in what people will remember of us but our energetic imprint is held as part of unity consciousness, contributing to the way humanity is. What do you want to leave as your energetic legacy?
